[Video Series] "14 Days to Fun"

How many times have you heard this?:

"I'd like to play EVE, but I don't want to just sit around for x-amount of months for my skills to train before I can do anything fun"

That's the perception of the game that I hope to disprove with these videos. I've started a 14-day trial, and I will spend a couple hours each day playing the game and getting myself combat-viable in under two weeks. I plan to move out to low-sec and hope to get at least one kill.

These videos obviously won't be targeted towards the seasoned EVE vet, but more towards potential new players who are hesitant to get into the game due to this common misconception.

For someone who has been around since 2007, and after watching your vid, I must agree - obtaining that first million was quite a nice feeling.

And I agree: you can do fun things in your first days as a fresh pilot.
Being new and feeling overwhelmed by all the stuff in menus and such was great back then.

Being able to constantly work towards something, be it in game or in real life is good.

Im interested to see your future episodes, and with that said, I subbed to your thread and present you with a like for the initiative you're taking here.

In Day 7 I roamed low sec looking for some pvp, and couldn't find any until I decided to welp in a faction warfare system. After the very short fight, I was convo'd by a very helpful player who invited me to fly with him and his corp.

For Day 8 I decided to enlist in FW in order to help speed up the process of finding fights. I managed to evade a Kestrel, but lost another Atron to an Imperial Navy Slicer.

FW is a great way for newbies to get into fights quickly if they don't want to deal with the blobs and politics of nullsec. And it's a fun way to make ISK!

I apologize for not getting the last episode out sooner. It's been a mixture of work obligations and exhaustion after wrapping up the work obligations.
