Why does death cloning back to your school give you 1 year cool down?

I thought it said that 30 day newbros can do an unlimited amount, but in fact it says once per corp, so the only work around is to kick him from the corp and reinvite him.

Stupidity it is...

It clearly says:

Once per year, characters can move their medical clone to either their corp HQ, or any station in which their corporation has an office. This option does not accumulate if it is unused.
For characters less than 30 days old, every time they change corp this counter will reset and they will be able to move their clone again.

Now, again, it very clearly says that there is an annual timer...Unless the character is less then 30 days old, then the timer is reset, every time they change corp

Sorry, but it was quite clear how it worked. That you misread it...that's not their fault.
So, yes, change of corp is the only option you have atm.

This, very much this.

How hard is it, that if you bring in new players to null-sec to help them settle in.

You have a JC, use that JC to buy in bulks of skillbooks and ship them into null-sec and supply your new players with the skillbooks.

It's not harder.

It's working as intended. If people use it in a different way because they are taught wrong, yes...it's harder. Don't blame the game, blame the teacher.

Also, as said...If you are so good to bring new players into null-sec (and I do mean that as a good thing, we need more people to keep them new players from thinking they MUST mine / mission in high-sec for the first year) then just go and get the books from high-sec and move them to null-sec. So you can supply your new players with the books they need.

Toxic GD posters, you should all be ashamed of yourselves.

OP take your idea to F&I, it's not a bad one, unlimited death clone jumping between HQ and birth system seems reasonable at least for newer players without having to use corp flip mechanics

Who says that the new guy have to carry his books.

Why not have one of those veterans with his JF / BR / Inty or so haul them in for their alliance. Just sayin'

Damn right. You don't learn a harsh game without some die and retry, and you don't get much out of EVE if you spend your time trying to avoid dealing with the other players.

I don't expect you to understand that if you're the type to ask the developers for help every time a game is hard.

You're complaining about something that was changed specifically BECAUSE it was too easy for people to use death cloning for travel.

Use a damn transport/freighter like everyone else does to move stuff from high to null. It's really not a difficult concept.

Your "idea" isn't an idea, it's you missing the point of a change and asking CCP to reverse it.

Exactly this. Your new player is being punished for using a mechanic in a fashion it does not exist for. It was changed to the once a year thing, so that they could get out to nullsec the first time to get to a corps staging location with ease, not so they could bounce back and forth to high sec willy nilly. It's a shame though, that noone in your corp bothered to educate the player of this restriction, or advised them to set up a jump clone first, which would have worked perfectly.

Someone literally just explained to you that it's not hard to get skillbooks at all. You just need competent logistics. How are you in any kind of position to introduce new players to EVE if you don't even know how to EVE yourself?

Build a Providence and fill it with skillbooks, use it as a mobile library to deliver skillbooks to the far reaches of New Eden and beyond. You could even make an escort fleet and call them The Librarians, in costume with black framed glasses.

Because corporations cant just change their HQ at will right? (and have to be able to in case their home system gets taken away)

tsk tsk tsk
*shakes head*

Sounds like someone in nullsec has no business offering advice to a new player.

Or

a.) that someone is not really part of the organizations new player recruitment and training group
or
b.) that organization still needs to figure out its logistical capability with the changes.

Either way this could have been easily avoided.......that or quit trying to recruit new players to use as cannon fodder.

Please stop talking **** about me having no logistics, I just wasnt anywhere nearby to give the skillbook and nobody else was on that could so I told him to pod himself, yeah Im stupid and Im not trying to cover up that I mis perceived the patch. But still, think of it, this limits newbros only into large newbie specific corps. They simply can't join a small npc null corp that lives at the end of venal because it would be so much trouble.

Lucrii, that would be an awesome idea....

If only all the nullsec owners would open up their stations to said fleet, you would even do a regular scheduled tour so that new players can schedule when they can pick up their skillbooks.

Your newbro could probably petition successfully if he explains EXACTLY how ignorant you were of the new mechanics. Or just drop corp. But does it work for the same corp twice?

This is not a game about internet spaceships, gate camping or logonski ganks.

It's a game of logistics. You have just lost eve.
