Hi

Im looking to Omnitank a Dominix with a buffer fit.

Question

Thanks for your help

Yes. Throw a plate or two on, add an explosive harder, DC2 and a EANM.

- if your fleet is using range tactics, you can trade the Ion Blasters for 350mm Railguns.

- if your fleet is using warfare links, you can trade the Energized Membranes for active Armor Hardeners (Thermal, Kinetic, Explosive) so you get higher overall resistances (with an EM resistance hole).

This low slot layout nets you almost the same EHP with vastly better resists and the ability to heat, spare highs are for whatever, Omnis allow you to hit **** at range, MJD allows good maneuverability and a smartbomb is generally handy.

Drop the smart bomb for 3 medium nuets. To use once target is capped out and Large neuts get shut off.

Drop one of the sentry stacks for some meds and light drones and you'll have something.

Would rather see a point over the 2nd Drone omni. Being a neut ship it can be handy.

Why any of this? You aren't a tackler, and not necessarily a brawler either.

I wear my goggles at night.

Any spelling/grammatical errors come complimentary with my typing on a phone

I could say the same about your fit too.

- it has no tackle: unless you are logistics, sniper, or a capital ship there is no excuse. Always fit a point. Because once your bubblers or interceptors get the initial tackle, it is only a matter of time before they die or have to bug out. As a battleship you have lots of HP and can hold point for longer.

- Your fit may have higher resistances... mine has more buffer that can give logisitics ships time to lock and start repping.

In all honesty though... the fits come down to 0.0 vs. low-sec tactics.
I run in low-sec so almost every ship MUST have a point (because initial tackle cannot be 100% relied upon), BS fights happen at ranges less than 50kms, and warfare links have a habit of dying (because every random out there seems to have combat probes).
