There should be no penalty for podding to highsec for skill books

I get it, death cloning across nullsec to rapidly deploy forces on two different ends of the universe makes no sense, but this has nothing to do with it.

New players who join nullsec alliances most likely have to remotely set their clones to the staging system. But when they need to inevitably go back to inject more skill books they get stuck in highsec for a year before they can reset their home remotely back out to null. The only work around seems to be leaving the corp and rejoining. That or getting escorted down by a fleet to bypass all the gatecamps.

All this current system does is harm new players who join nullsec alliances. They are forced to get jump clone skills and have their character trapped for a day just so they can inject some new skills (which in the first month you need to many times).

There shouldn't be a penalty for podding back to just your school. The station you previously set as home remotely should remain available. There would be no way of abusing this to project power, which is why all this was introduced. If a null block wants to use this to mass move a bunch of players, good luck, because now they are all scattered on the 4 corners of highsec.

Or your alliance could just stop being bad and bring a large stock of the lower level skillbooks out and put them on sale in your market hub.

What if, instead--and hear me out, because though this will sound absolutely crazy at first, I think it could really work--skillbooks were, like, items or blueprints or something that you could put into the cargo hold of a ship? That way, people could move these skillbooks from the high-sec schools where, apparently, they are quarantined, and into nullsec so people don't have to pod themselves to inject them?

Just a thought.

Or he could use a jumpclone, I dunno...
sounds pretty far-fetched doesn't it

Is this really where you want to go with this? Podding to speed you into high sec for any reason is abuse of a mechanic at the very least. Like so many things in eve, this was an unintentional boon to players in deep space. I say leave the penalty, take your lumps, or resign yourself to playing Wow.

If he's really that new he can do it more than once. If he's not that new then he should know what to do.

You could also consider taking a WH to low or high sec.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

And people thought the high sec crowd had the monopoly on false senses of entitlement!!!

I think Anhenka has this one covered, instead of asking CCP to change the game stop being a bunch of jerks and give your new players the support they deserve it is just a few skill books after all and they are extremely small and easy to move.

There is a skill to reduce the time now. JC end of night and skill depending jc back the next night not skipping a beat (or less of them at any rate).

Or the player can make that day what I will call enjoy rl night lol. "Stuck" in empire find something else to do. If our noob is male and straight (not saying other options are good or bad....I can only speak for having a wife is all) well I have found women kind of like it when out the blue you aren't in the mmo for the night and you know, spend more time with them. Now do they have to know this is due to being in the inject clone? Nah, lol. Make up the white lie you wanted to spend more time with them, gets you more points lol.

Noob in 0.0 should also be training for inty anyway (I am old school mindset, this was my first train and it showed to be be a good one). After the first month they have their slippery fish to make 0.0 to empire and back again runs in very short order.

Or as one poster said....its on the alliance/corp to stock this up. If they can't....I am sure someone can courier it in for a price.
