That sword thing in the end is something that it's inventor should be shot for but otherwise okay.

I can't honestly make my mind up.. I loved the shots of the X-WIngs skimming over the water but hated the guy who was doing the voice over and that stupid little rolling robot..

I will go and see it whatever happens but I have this nagging feeling that it will not give me the same feeling as when I watch the original Star Wars all those years ago.

It looks pretty bad, but I like it. I can't see the user of that thing being able to do that overly choreographed dancing they called fighting in the prequels. It gives me hope, that the saber fights might look like the fighters are actually trying to harm their opponent instead of performing for the camera.

You know the idea of using the Saber part of a Lightsaber as a guard...seems kiiiinda dangerous.

Trailer released. Thoughts?

Now that the new trailer has been released (and at least it looks cool) I want to remind all of you of this!

Be afraid! Be VERY afraid!

Stupidity should be a bannable offense.

Fighting back is more fun than not.

Sticky: AFK Cloaking Thread It's not pretty, but it's there.

At this point in the franchise I don't care who directs it as long as Jar-Jar is not in the film.

What about jar-jar being crucified ? I would watch the film for that alone. Big smile

In the Dark Horse's Clone war Comics there was a Jedi named Roblio Darté who wielded a similar weapon, his Light saber was known as Crossguard saber or forked Saber. So i assume that they took some inspiration from this design.

I just want a Sith - or any character - that has even a small part of the personality that Kreia had... but that is probably already too much for the target audience.
That idiot robot pretty much forshadows bad, bad things.

My reaction is basically: MEH.

Not much to react to. They show us some stuff we remember from the old movies. They show us some stuff that kinda looks like the stuff from the old movies but has been streamlined to look less cool (stormtroopers). They show us some new stuff like a giant pop-sickle speedbike, a soccerball comic relief robot from Pixar, and a stupid hilted lightsaber. There wasn't a single scene in space which is kinda weird. But it's just a teaser. Just a few seemingly non-related scenes. So... yeah... not much to think about it. Overly dramatic narrator rambling about something something darkside.

I hope the stormtrooper guy that pops up in the beginning is a character that is questioning his decision to join the Empire. That could be interesting. More interesting than just a guy using the uniform as a disguise, like Luke and Han did. I hope no one tells him he looks a little short to be a stormtrooper. *groan*

I thought the little robot was cute. Big smile

I'm not weighed down with any nostalgic loyalty to the series.

Approved. There is never enough overkill when you may encounter a Jar Jar Binks.
