It is larger and brighter today. 2 shots from the same system, one last night and one just a few moments ago

I don't want to even imagine how bright it is near the epicenter.

I have put a summary of this star into https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=388005&find=unread here, as I believe it is a bit different topic than sansha's unusual behavior.

Honored are the dead, for their legacy guides us.

I for one would like to thank The Scope for their tireless reporting of this topic and wish them safety from reporting on the front lines.

hello there fellow capsuleers,

i was curious where is this anomaly/ strange supernova/ or whatever it is located so i did a little bit of old school pinpointing from to us accessible systems around the jove territory and heres the result:
anomaly

(sadly i dont have access to high tech SOE research and exploration ships as most of common capsuleers so the results are a "little bit" inaccurate)

anyway the anomaly happening/happened in or around one of those fours systems id say:
- EH-HXW
- BFJ-TF
- W477-P
- V4-GZL

here are two low-resolution shots from the closest accessible system to the anomaly from my little expedition:
photo one
photo two

hope this helps someone
stay vigilant

Does this could be in any way Related? Source is GalNet

As according to reports, The star can be seen from the every region on this map.

As indicated by others this star has appeared in the cluster before. It's violating all known physical laws though as it can be seen everywhere across the cluster at the same time being unaffected by light lag.

This is consistent with its previous appearances.

Clearly it's part of the sansha wormhole projection technology that allows wormholes to appear all over the cluster at the same time.

I am formulating a theory that this master wormhole is actually the origin of every wormhole in existence. It's like it projects random copies of itself around the cluster that terminate to different locations at each end.

I may take a ship out there to get better readings, but I think every wormhole shares the same base signature.

Don't take me too seriously though, I like to tease a bit on the forums, but that's only because I love you...

We're still theorising as to whether the lack of wormholes used by Sansha's forces is linked to Caroline's Star appearance, but more wormholes have appeared frequently inside the systems of the cluster that are close to W477-P. Further research is needed. But my images of the star are here.

Where did we get confirmation that this is "light" in a pure sense?

Surely there's something of which photons may be a by-product.

We really are going to have to reevaluate our theories regarding wormhole formation, much good work has already been done, and great minds have spent their entire careers, arriving at the understanding we have.
There is much here though, that may indicate that we may have only seen the smallest part of the picture.
The forces involved here are of a totally different magnitude than we have witnessed before. This is of great concern, we simply do not know what comes next.

We cannot assume that the Sansha are responsible, they may be simply reacting to events, True, they may be responsible, they may have been experimenting and it went wrong, they may be at war with a more powerful foe, or simply irrelevant.

That the Sansha could be responsible is bad enough, a natural disaster unfolding is worse, that it a harbinger of War is the most terrifying of all.

Let us not place the fear and terror of that in our families hearts, until we know the facts, they are terrified enough just by the changes in the night sky.

Hope for peace, but prepare quietly for survival and War.

It is not a time to passively watch, although that is how it must appear.

Turn to your Holders, your corporations, your tribal leaders and your comrades, prepare, and react quickly when called, all our survival may be at stake.

Capsuleers, update your clones and stock your ammo, Prepare your crews, ensure their families are in a place of safety, we may need to place our needs secondary to humanities, they will have need of our combined strength.

All those in power, look to your wisest council, all our peoples depend on your leadership, it is a Heavy burden to carry, but you were born for these moments.

Unite your peoples, We all may need to be united in our struggle in the times to come.

Or history may judge us an irrelevant footnote.

As history is written by the victors.

There is one EvE. Many people. Many lifestyles. WE are EvE

I believe the Sanshas became victim to increased Sleeper activity and were caught unprepared. I also believe Doctor (what's his name) is being held by Sanshas nation, per his in a panic comment.

Do me a favor, let's NOT turn this thread into another Empire **** waving contest. We don't care about Caldari this or Empire that. Go chest beat in another thread. Thank you.

So that anomaly is still growing. But as far as I can tell that's...well, it. Any further updates?

Well, obviously.

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.
