Station enviroments,Incarna Problems and upcoming space games !

!!! This thread is about the possibility of walking around and its effects not Eve's lifespan I like Eve and I dont belive that this game will die things can go better or worse but I dont except any game to kill it soon so pls read before commenting !!!


So you all remember right...

The way that Eve were going before the incarna with avatars and Captain Quarters developers aimed to create a out of pod experience and adding microtransactions into game.

After that...

Booom,Jita revolts...

Some say that it happened because people demanded proper updates not stations,other say the actual anger was about the microtransactions and station enviroments were become the victim of it.Not matter which one is true those plans are all cancelled and CCP guys went on making DUST and now Valkryie.

And now after years the first time in eve history they are facing with a rival.The SC and other upcoming space games which I dont remember their names now you know lots of them coming.

Let me guess now you are saying like this "ohh no please not one of those threads they are not same game " and yeah I know eve and SC is diffrent games they have diffrent mechanics and system but still this doesnt mean that SC cant hurt Eve.It can hurt EVE guys maybe not kill but first time in its history Eve will actually have a rival.People might say that oke enough clicking around,fitting ship with 2d icons and beign stuck inside a pod lets go out there and walk around in and out of the ship and enjoy some other stuff.

I am really curious what CCP will do now,I see that they are going in way of creating a better sandbox mode which is something really nice but Eve is still a hardcore game for many other folks around and if CCP needs to got stronger in upcoming years Eve Valkrie will not enough.

One last word !!!

New games on eve universe is good idea folks but come on Eve Online is the key for your sucsess and you should defiently take good care of it.If your podders wish to get out of their pods for some time,well like it or not CCP you are in trouble so wish that they stay inside the pod or those games fail !


Edit:I think the amount of warnings is enough to make those non reader but commenter folks to stay out feel free to share your thoughs about walking around etc but if I ever see one of you making comments about "eve will not die" I will defienelty call that person a idiot because of ignoring 8887280932 amount of warnings.

Dude I will not quit,not beucase that I die for this game but its because that this game is the only game around that has sovereignty,I mean holding stations systems etc.

Yeah but I can't ruin someone's day in " other game " Like I can in eve(without being slapped in the unmentionables), and without the threat of that happening to me where's that edgy fear that makes eve unique going to come from.

Didn't read the op, if you want space barbies go play second life. EVE isn't dieing until we say it is.

I have read your post and I do not think CCP will bring WIS back into eve ever again.

Because EvE is all about ships and that is what the players want are new ships who care about WIS !!!

I have been playing EvE for 8 years and read what happen when a Large alliance like Goonswarm and other players decided to Burn Jita.

That had put a stop on bringing in WIS and microtransaction into EvE so please stop trying to bring WIS back into the game it will not happen.

Hope that shed some light on it.

This is what happens when you write a lot of text without a tl;dr at the very top. I only read the first few sentences. If it's pointless and/or stupid, I will not read more. There's a lot more text to read elsewhere that may be a more entertaining waste of my time.

I wish people would finally learn that they are not writing the only threads on the internet, are not entitled to being read and adapt their writing to cater to the readership.

I already play SC because it will provide me the gameplay I've always wanted in EVE. To be able to remain in the EVE universe, and get in cockpit dogfighting, fps shooting and big ship gameplay, I'll have to play 3 different games. EVE, Valykrie and Legion/Dust. In SC I will get all 3 elements in 1 game.

Ill still play EVE no matter what game comes out, but for a more simulated immersive experience, I'll be turning to SC instead of Valykrie.

Next year, the FPS module and Squadron 42 will be debuting. Possibly some aspects of the persistent universe. Till then, Im having a lot of fun dogfighting in the Arena Commander. I cant fly ships in EVE with a HOTAS, but I can in SC.

I hope that someday, CCP will be able to provide more immersion in the EVE universe without the need to play 3 separate games.

Well I talked about those games just for example again I am saying I dont claim that eve will die but some of those features of those games can hurt Eve and for my opinion walking around would be nice...

This is the same tired argument we see on the forums with every demand for WiS. Please think of something new and relevant, please, so I don't have to troll you. These games are not rivals for EVE. Just by virtue of being a space game does not an EVE rival make. First, you're gonna need the things that make EVE unique, such as the purely player-driven single shard PVP environment. Nothing that is coming has that, nothing. Next, you're going to need to compete with an already-established strong community.

That's all well and good, but EVE already has avatar gameplay - our ships ARE our avatars. If you want to add ambulation, it had better not bloat the already somewhat large client we have. People want a lot of things, but if you really need ambulation, then why demand it in EVE when there are already dozens of games that have it?
