Hi there.

I played EVE for about two months back in May/June, but other games caught my interest and other obligations came up, so I let my subscription lapse. But well, I kept meaning to come back and give it another, proper try... and like so many others, the new trailer gave me the push to just go ahead and resub. :P

I'm not a fully green newbro, but most of my time last time I gave the game a try was spent with solo play. I did missioning, enough to bolster my standings high enough to get jump clones on my own (oh god so much grind please never again), but what I really found I enjoyed was exploration. Most of my time was spent wandering through nulsec, hunting for treasure and trying to keep out of trouble - and then when I was feeling braver, hunting down nulsec combat anomalies I could solo in my VNI (and later my Stratios, after I found a lucky nexus chip) to keep things exciting. I did pretty well for myself, but it gets lonely.

So, this time around I figure it's in my best interests to give the more social aspects of the game a try and join a real corporation.

What I would be most interested in, I think, is an actual roleplaying group. Some of my best time spent online gaming had been on roleplaying servers in Neverwinter Nights, and if there's a segment of the EVE community that cares for such things I'd love to try being a part of it. But barring that, any group of friendly folks to talk or fly with certainly warrants consideration. This is what's really most important to me, that my corporation is active and that its members are pleasant to chat with and spend time with.

To expand further on my experience thus far: I have just under 5 million SP, mostly exploration-related and in general droneboat combat skills. The only real flying I've done as a fleet was doing the Sisters of EVE arc together with a friend. I've done some soloing successfully in low class wormholes, but never, like, seriously lived in one. My PvP experience is limited to "escape gankers, with mixed success" - and this one time that I caught someone ninja-harvesting gas in my WH, flew up, scrammed them, and forced them to have GUNPOINT PLEASANT CONVERSATION before letting them go - yes, I'm a bit of a carebear. ;-; But I'm open to trying new things.

If anyone has or would know of a corporation that sounds like I'd be a good fit for it, or if you have any questions, please feel free to post or send me a message!

There are many roleplay corporations out there, but they tend to be aligned along factions. Amarr, Minmatar, Caldari, Gallente. If your skills are mostly drones, you sound like you might be either a Gallente or Amarr. Drone skills are excellent to have for industrial 'carebear' skills as well, BTW.

There is an in game channel for roleplay, called 'OOC' I believe. You can meet other roleplayers there (while out of character).

Do a little research into your faction. This will help with your character's background story. It's fine to have a 'cookie cutter' character, such as a Gallente freedom fighter, Amarrian religious zealot, greedy Caldari, or angry Minmatar, but your character will have more depth if they are a little...atypical in some way.
