Player Features and Ideas Discussion

Many of the ships in the game are just awesome, (Myrmidon and the Stabber are my favorite designs), but I think there is room for a bunch more.

I think that the community should drive an expansion of the possible ships, less in terms of nagging CCP, and more active. So have those with the "know-how", should model and texture a ship, within a set of parameters, (CCP should be able to say that there is no winner, if none of the models are good enough). The ship that is chosen, gets released with the following expansion.

I think that this might get some more interesting variants, (a destroyer with weird fittings like only one high slot, maximum low slots, and no medium slots, shaped like a ball, to serve as a tank or drone-carrier), and they could be rewarded in-game, creating another way to get rich quick.
