PLEX will crash

As long as people keep buying PLEX with $ to sell for ISK, the market will crash.

At some point the ISK is tied up in PLEX and people will start under cutting that price. Then the bubble will burst and people will sell PLEX at ISK losses.

i'm about to buy a 6-pack if it gets much higher. I've wanted a proper set of ships for my pilots. caps. I had a set when kate and I were running a C5, but I sold them off once we were done. having caps in K-space was out of the question at the time.

Been playing Eve Online pretty consistently for what is 5 yrs this month. ~300m ISK was the going rate then.

Want to know how many times the PLEX market 'popped' or 'crashed'?

PLEX has not had a downward trend that lasted longer than a PL pilot watching '2 girls 1 Cup'.

PLEX has one way to go. up and up.

500m - 'It'll pop any day now..."

600m - "Oh yeah, it won't last, just speculation..."

750m - "It will crash next week.."

850m - "Just more speculation..."

1 Billion ISK - "Oh yeah, it'll crash any minute now..."

Unfortunately for CCP many accounts are being shut down because it has been out of hand since 750m. If they don't put a hard cap on it soon they are going to be hemorrhaging subs. I called 1 Billion ISK by Christmas 2014 LAST year. I was mocked and laughed at. Go ahead, check my older posts.

well true it has to crash but think about how it all started.
"Omg omg omg plex so cheap im gonna start training 4 accounts,omgomg look at me im the multiboxer champ omgomgomg xD)-plex 650 mill.
now plex almost breaching 1 bill instead of 1 guy having 4 training accounts they will have 2 training,i think plex will fatten to 1.5 bill.
i bet theres a lot of people who started and realized they can play to pay.So who will crash first?plex or a part of the community?

That and he fails to see the contradiction within his post.

Goes on and on about how it won't burst and then turns around and says that the price being so high is causing CCP to lose subs.

Um, what subs would that be? The ones that buy PLEX with isk? The one that make up a large portion of the demand but a very low portion of the supply? What do you think will happen if what you say is true and the demand drops off suddenly?

Perhaps a solution lies in an expiration date on plex use them or lose them Idea

of course if this was to come into effect everyone would sell them all at once which is fine

But the stockpiling of plex would be a thing of the past and its trade kept small as in my mind plex isn't a eve lore product so its controlling factors should be alterable

it would need scam proofing as receiving and isk with three seconds on it would be one hell of a **** off but that is not hard to put in place I feel.

PLEX is too useful, it wont crash... for now. Once the price nears the average net monthly income of hisec missioners that play regularly, then it will be interesting.

Methinks hisec mining is nearing this limit of high plex prices.

right now everyone can just sit around and farm rather safely, doubt prices will crash until we see something big happen on that front. That and so many people seem to have huge stockpiles of isk and ships, so its going to take quite a lot of carnage imo to get many players to buy plex.
