Howdy all!

Redemption Road is a community-service corporation with a focus on organizing and running public roams, new player roams, and other civic events. We are the founders of the Redemption Roams NPSI community and Affirmative. alliance.

Currently, we run and support the following NPSI public roams:

• Sunday Sinners: Every Sunday at 20:00
• MATE Roams: Most Fridays around 08:00/09:00ish
• NewBro New Player Roam: 15th of the month, rotating time zones
• Shotgun Soldiers: Ceptor roams every Thursday at 02:00
• Assorted random holiday roams, seminars, and other crazy ideas.

We are also obsessed with tournaments. We manage "The Freeloaders" New Eden Open team and fielded a team in ATXII and ATXIII. We are planning on fielding a team this year, too!

Outside of public roams and tournaments, we're a VERY SOCIAL solo and small-gang PVP (mostly roaming) corporation now living in Querious, roaming both low and nullsec. While we are not a "training" corp, we are very new/newer-player friendly and will bend over backwards to help you learn. For new players, we prefer you be out of trial, have done the career agents and Sisters of Eve arc, have the ability to figure things out, and are looking to be involved with PVP, although we routinely take in Day 1 new players with the right attitude, too!

We have a tight-knit, very casual and laid back (perhaps too laid back!), social, mature (no sperging or p0rn), RL > Eve environment with a "Go for it!" culture.

Currently, we are most active in the late US/NA through Aussie/NZ time zones (approx. 02:00 through downtime) during the week, and all time zones during the weekend. Our Euro time zone activity has improved, but is still not where we want it.

We have about 155 RL people/477 characters in Affirmative alliance, with about 60 people regularly active throughout the week and about 40 insanely active.

We generally fly cruisers and below, but that's because we rather lose 100's of cheap ships taking on most any fight we can find "win or lose," then only fight the fights we can win. We've been known to drop the occasional dread for giggles and sacrificing capitals for the fun of it is our thing! We don't have "strict" doctrines, preferring to keep things flexible and open for those who step up to lead gangs and let people experiment with different fittings and gang types.

What We Offer:

• "Assume the answer is YES" attitude - got a crazy idea? Go for it! No permission needed to run gangs, FC anything, organize an event or run a seminar.
• Opportunity to be as involved - or not - as you want to be in the running of internal or public roams.
• Genuine appreciation for all you bring to the game.
• No guilt trips when you prefer to carebear instead of joining the gang. Did I mention we now live in nullsec? Mmmm rats...
• Freedom to fly with whoever you want to fly with, it's perfectly okay to go hang with old friends, fly in Ganked, or do something else with others, just so long as you hang out and fly with us regularly, too!
• Laid-back management, transparency in decision-making and finances, with major decisions made by consensus (unless urgent).
• Very cool tickers: (RILED) [YES]
• Giggles, lots of giggles.

What we are looking for:

• Working microphone and being in coms regularly is a MUST.
• Patience and Sense of Humor trained to 5 required :)
• People who don't take the game too seriously, but are able to act and fly professionally when in fleet.
• Have a love of learning and sharing what they know.
• Ability to operate independently and entertain yourself when nothing else is going on, or not many people online.
• Social. We are very social.
• We don't usually ask for full API, but a partial API will be required to get authorized on forums and Teamspeak once you join
• Must check our internal forums a few times a week to catch up on what's happening. Don't need to be a forum whore.
• Prefer 21+ RL years old, but mature younglings are acceptable.
• Dog and cat lovers particularly welcome.
• No minimum skill points, but do prefer you have at least one frigate to 5, at least one destroyer and/or cruiser to 5, assault frigates, interceptors, small T2 guns, and have flown on at least one of our roams.

Who we are NOT a good home for:

• Misogonists, dramaqueens, sperglords, racists, overbearing arrogant twats, elitists, ragers, or risk adverse pilots.
• Players focused ONLY on industry or PVE.
• Special Snowflakes. We already have one.
• Antisocial people who NEVER fly with us or join voice
• Those who think killboard stats actually matter.

How to Apply:
Hop into our Teamspeak server (ts.affirmativealliance.com password YES!) and chat with us, hang out with us, and get to know us. Come fly with us on our public roams, or just hop into TS and ask if there are any gangs running you can join - you don't need to be one of us to fly with us! We'll know pretty quickly - if we are the right home for you, and you are a good fit with the rest of the critters in our little zoo.

Come join our public roam today, Sunday, November 2nd at 19:00 out of Berta! We'll be flying Omens, but frigs/destroyers are welcome, too! It's a great way to get to see what we do and how we fly. Granted, our public roams tend to be around 50 people and our internal roams tend to be less than 10 people, but the same casual-professional, laid-back, fun-first attitude remains in both!

We celebrated our one year anniversary today with one heck of a fun public roam. Many, many thanks to the 78 pilots who joined the fleet, many who put big isk on the line in the name of glorious giggles and explosions!

Special shout-out to Manifest Destiny, CVA, and OUCH/DNS for giving us particularly awesome fights today!

We don't normally fly with battleships and carriers in any of our roams - internal or public - but it was a really nice change of pace for us and a heck of a lot of fun!

Our next public event is our NewBro Roam on November 15th at 08:00 out of Stacmon (details here). These roams are near and dear to our hearts in Redemption, as we not only love new players, we used to be one! Come fly with us and see how we operate one of our most popular events - or join us and help us run this much-needed community project!

Sudden Buggery and friends support the MATE roam via Redemption Road and welcome any and all people awake at this hour, no matter how noobish and green! We have helped up to 40 people at a time have a good time and a few stiff drinks.

Meanwhile, some weeks back I was a guest on the High Drag podcast. The recording of that is now online here. If you've never tuned in to High Drag, it's a great podcast organized by the fabulous Random McNally, and recorded live on Fintarue's stream every other Thursday. Highly recommended!

Three of us set out in interceptors today to get some bookmarking done in southern Catch, and I gotta say, I'm loving how Phoebe has changed the universe we live in! So many roaming gangs, people building "fortresses" and "homesteads" and actually paying attention to intel and forming up response gangs... it's fantastic to be alive in Eve today!

We weren't out to hunt or kill anyone today, our goal was to stay alive as long as possible so we could get as many systems bookmarked as we could. We traveled down to the south eastern corner of Catch, and had some fun freaking ratters out "oh no local spike local spike!"

Anyways, we noticed a pod on a gate hopping into the next system. We didn't bother trying to catch him, because well, we were focused on our task at hand. We hop into the next system, and there's that same pod just about to exit the system. We make our bookmarks on the gates, then go into the next system, and what do you know, there is that same pod in local... no station ....

(Did I happen to mention we have a "Bookmarking The Universe" project in our alliance, with the goal of having a tactical bookmark on every nullsec gate? Did I also happen to mention I have the most busted bookmarks in Curse?)

We go ahead and make our bookmarks and as we land on the gate to the next system, Rogue notices the pod is 12 off the gate. "I think he's autopiloting."

Autopiloting a pod in nullsec. In Catch, no less, which is likely the hottest region in the universe for roaming gangs and solo hunters right now.

"Are you serious? No way!"

"Yup, I'm positive, he's autopiloting."

"Well, for that he deserves to explode! Go ahead and kill him!"

"He's already dead. Didn't even need to sebo him "

And explode he did :) Of course, it was a naked clone... but seriously, autopiloting a pod in nullsec... I gotta admit, I've never seen that happen before in the over five years I've been playing Eve!

I wonder what we'll see tomorrow... join us, and maybe you'll see something giggle-worthy with us tomorrow, too!

Ahh, so much has happened since I last bumped this! We've adopted a dozen newbros into our little group, some of which have actually joined us, others just hanging out with us and learning the game. It's been a lot of fun and a lot of work, but totally worth it!

We've had some fun defending a POCO, lots of good old-fashioned in-your-face brawling furrballs of fights on our public roams, we've been doing more random spur-of-the-moment gangs during the week, and had the BEST movie night ever this week!

Our next NewBro New Player Roam is this Sunday, December 14th, 2014 at 20:00 out of Berta. Always fun to show new players their first "real" fleet fight, such a giggle to hear them talk about their hands shaking!! :)

And although we have slowed down recruitment a bit this past two weeks while we get to know all the new members we've added recently, we're still recruiting!
