I can assure you that any form of communication I have will not be of any manner of the sexual variety. Not only would my spouse disapprove, but more importantly I would just go CAWCAW! (Plus everyone online is male unless proven otherwise in real life)

Also I have a hard time believing that CCP is even still doing the dev work. Takes 6 months to release a captains closet.....takes 1 month to do a large visual upgrade on ships and asteroid belts and paints 4 dreads and adds a T3 destroyer and adds a Tug Capital and new modules and WASD control and 2 new hull designs and an interface re-work and more?

You do realize that the '1 month; was not actually a month And if the art for something is done in a month, they are not sitting on it, twiddling there thumbs waiting for the next expansion to hit so they can work on new projects. Once they are done, they can perp it to ship and move on to another project, when that's done it ships, etc. does;t matter if it takes 1 week or a year. Why people still don;t realize this is beyond me.

I blame the American Education System. Sometime in the late 1990s they stopped teaching kids how to actually think - thank god I made it out before then.

You do realize that's not how the new release schedule actually works, right?

Don't tell him that, he might suddenly understand that not every feature has to come out on the exact cycle the design was initiated on.

The new system suits better to Agile development, but also haves its downfalls. So far, we've seen what creative and ingenuous developers can do when they get it right, but shall they take a single wrong turn and the honeymoon will be over.

I am specially curious about winter and the impact it used to have (apparently) in the quality of summer expansions. But also have the impression that CCP's devs are in 110% mode. Would love to see a Glassdoor from someone who left the company this month or next one...

Nothing, because a lot of great expansions and the greatest to date was released in the summer. Apocaryto was made in the winter and most eve players think it was the best. So you have no idea what you are talking about. Also, if they make a mistake, they can fix it faster, which is what a lot of old vets want, add stuff, if its broken, fix it, don;t leave it to fester.

Considering CCP i think that some leadership realized how they earn their money. Other stuffz was tried, but still EvE earns the money. Since Starcitizen and Elite Dangerous took of, every one can see, how much Spacesims are desired.

You don;t realize how business works do you? CCP MUST expand there products, this is why they tried WoD and made Dust, and why they are making valk and starting on legion. If ccp just has eve, and lets say SC or ED drains people from it, then CCP and EVE die. That is highly unlikely to happen, but because it MAY happen, ccp has to have a second or even third product that makes them money. Tossing all there stuff into eve is stupid.

The other space sims are nothing like eve, but competition is always good.

To be honest at first I was extremely sceptical of CCP Seagul. The way scanning was butchered into the non complexity ground, the overlay, those tip tools, and then the visions she had...

Visions ar nice but I can't play them, so I let my accounts lapse (also because I got a bit bored), but I kept in touch with the website and forums. And slowly I noticed that things where coming together, like little pieces of a big never ending puzzle.

I also realized that having 'was responsible for running an 12 year old MMO into the ground' on your résumé, isn't something most people strive for.

So yeah, I'm more confident in the future of EVE then I was 6 month's ago. Smile

Hope they can keep up the pace.

The irony is that a "seagull manager" is defined as someone who flies in, makes a lot of noise, defecates all over the place and then flies off ;)

Read johnathan livingstone seagull, and see if you think the same.

She is also becoming a legend.Lol

Totally impressed.
Not only is she doing a great job, she is revitalising the energy of the entire corp.
And encouraging and supporting the creative talents of the team, to do the best they are capable of, and then a little more, is icing on the cake.

If people think your definition is a valid one, well she has taken it and given it a whole new meaning.

Thanks, Seagull.

I was happy to see her promoted, and she has exceeded my expectations since then.

I not only feel that EVE is in very good hands now, with a clearly defined course, high morale, and an increasing ability to design and ship good stuff; I have a much better feeling about any of their other projects. Poking my head into the DUST514 forums, I see that the last release there was significant, that it got a very warm welcome from the player base. That gives me hope that Legion and Valkyrie will be good things.

Long may she reign.

I vote that CCP Seagull's name should be changed to CCP FrigateBird

Reason: a Frigate Bird is pretty much a seagull, but WAY more badass.
