Golem fit - puzzled

below is my current Golem fit, personally i do not think it is a very tough nut Sad what should i change out to make it that little bit tougher? i was doing lvl4 mission "the assault" and had to actually warp out however saying that i was just shooting indiscriminatly and had quite abit shooting back at me, and also did not activate bastion. as it stands i have 29,930 ehp, this figure is taken from eve fitting tool, however evehq says i have 79k ehp with bastion module inactive?
Also i know the rigs are only t1 i had them at hand so used them for now.

Mistake Nr. 1: "did not activate Bastion.."

DO IT!

Also, personally I would use a cheap Deadspace XL Shieldbooster and a CN Shield boost Ampflifier.

Fit mission specific hardeners

use Mobile depot / mobile tracktor

No need to have a prop mod equipped then.

T1 riggs on a Golem?!!!!


The Golem is an absolute BEAST if fitted and USED correctly.

Use the bastion next time?
If you don't want to use it switch TP for racial specific hardeners.
Edit: it's very hard to tank mission. I remeber i was able to tank it with my brick tank SNI, there's no way you could tank it with light tank and no bastion.

really is that the best you can come up with? i do as a rule use the bastion module but on this particular mission because it was close to downtime i did not activate it, but i do think the hull should be tougher than it is.

Take the DC off and replace with a BCU. At least three BCUs should be faction. The rigs are great but should be T2. Mids are perfect.

If you aren't going to use bastion mode there really isn't any point in flying a marauder. Just saying. Anyway, the advice about a cheap deadspace XL booster and a faction boost amp would probably fix the issue for the most part.

Jesus! No! That will be insanely overtanked. A T2 LSB is quite sufficent. SBA is utterly unnecessary.

If you use bastion, yes - that would be insanely overtanked for l4s.
However the OP was complaining that his marauder felt squishy without bastion.
(Of course the correct choice would be to use a T2 LSB and just activate bastion... Roll)

christ on a bike so during 1 mission i don't activate bastion module and because of this i make a comment about how the golem felt soft and it get's everyone on their high horse and i have comitted a cardinal sin. God help anyone if you lot ever end up on jury service.

It is puzzling because you are looking at it only from a level 4 mission runners POV, if the thing was any less squishy it would be completely OP for PVP.

it is "the assault", don't bother shooting indiscriminately, just kill what you need to and get out. One of the quickest and easiest missions out there.
