Mac SISI Issues

There seems to be an issue with the Mac SISI client. I tried two copies of an existing EVE client and a fresh download (which took almost 14 hours), and despite configuring everything correctly it runs through the launcher update then instantly crashes when it reaches "Installing Files". When you relaunch the EVE SISI client it quickly alternates between "Installing Files" and "Downloading EVE Launcher Update" while the progress bar remains empty.

And yes, I duplicated the steps exactly as indicated on the SISI Wiki page to configure the Mac client. Was really hoping to test out the Blighted/Stigmatic/Polarized weapons… Any ideas?

Which launcher version do you have? It is working fine for me with launcher v.2.830930 - but I assume you might have an older version and patching to this version fails somehow?

The Launcher version is 2.1.826897 (it has a Rubicon 'splash screen'). This is the same version that I have on the regular EVE client which works fine. Mac OSX 10.7.5 operating system.

Same issue. Tried to remove it totally on my Mac OS X 10.9 and re-install 2.1.826897 and still same issue. It was fine until a few days ago, then complete failure. I have opened a bug just 10 mins ago, and uploaded the log files. No idea how to fix. I am down until resolved.

A week later and post-Phoebe I'm still having the same issues. In addition, I'm now getting an account validation error. I'm doing my best to attempt to provide some constructive feedback and testing here, but you need to at least meet your Mac user base halfway with a functional SISI client.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

I'd love to. How do I update it? When I did a clean download/install this was the version it left me with. Incidentally, this is the same version of the launcher as the Phoebe client - which works perfectly fine. Each time I launch the SISI client it downloads a launcher update and immediately crashes upon attempting to install any files. I did resolve the account validation issue by clearing the cache, though.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

Seems to be an error validating accounts from the Mac sisi client but works fine from the windows sisi client (on the same computer?)

I think I resolved the validation issue by clearing the launcher cache, but I'm still running into the same issue where it downloads the launcher update and then immediately crashes when trying to install it. Apparently I'm running a different launcher version (?) although this is the same version as the latest Phoebe client, so I'm at a loss as to how to update it. I've already downloaded the entire client (twice) to no avail.

I'll just wait for Rhea or subsequent updates and be surprised. As much as I'd like to help test and provide some feedback, it speaks volumes that there's not only a non-functional SISI Mac client but that this ranks at the absolute bottom in terms of priorities to address. Look for future bug reports, because unfortunately this is the only way I can provide any feedback.
