I've been forced to turn quite a few people away just lately because it seems that EVE pilots are somewhat lacking in reading comprehension and logic skills.

Now my lovely lovely people, if you want to join a wormhole corporation, does it not stand to reason that you should at the very minimum be able to scan? Of course it does my preciouses. So why apply if you cant tell a probe launcher from a gas harvester hmmm?

Wormholes are nasty nasty places, just chock full of interesting and deadly things, and people, most of whom want to kill you in the worst possible way. Why then would you think that you could survive in such a festering vipers pit of pain and anguish when you lack the basic core skills?

Another conundrum for you my dear, dear ones. Why, when applying to a PVP WH corporation, are the first words out of your pouty rosebud mouths, "how much isk do you make per hour"? Ask instead you silk clad materialistic hoydens, "how many pugilistic events do you take part in per day?".

EVE, dear solitary wilting wallflowers is an MMORPG. Let me explain; it stands for massively multiplayer online role playing game. That means even though we don't mind what you do on your own behind closed doors, we much prefer you get cosy with your corporate brothers and sisters, and you know, join in. Its much, MUCH nicer that way. Oh my yes.

I'm glad we had this little chat. I hurts me, it hurts me deeply to have to turn away poor naïve pod pilots from the warm embrace of the serene vendetta family, but what can I do my darlings? Surely it would be far far crueller to accept unprepared pilots into our home and watch the joy of acceptance drain from their eyes to be replaced with bitter acrimony, disillusion and disappointment? Of course it would.

Another day, another post. I need to get paid for this sh... work.

I've been getting a few enquiries from people who consider themselves to be elite PvP'rs. The usual comment is you guys suck at PvP cos your killboard sucks.

What our killboard shows is that win or lose, we are always up for a fight. Quite often we win, but sometimes we get completely ground to bits.

This morning the Tactical Narcotics Team donated a Charon , Astarte, Hyena and a couple of pods to one of our roaming gangs. Well done both sides for content creation.

Well you lucky, lucky people. I find myself suffering from insomnia again, with nothing much to do, therefore it's time to post.

The more I look at this thread, the more I realise it's actually turned into my therapy page. I'm laying on the couch spilling my innermost thoughts while you listen from across the room, sat in your chair, making notes and providing nothing in return. Excellent. I feel validated.

I don't write all this crap for my benefit you know. No , I do it for yours. I spend time out of MY EvE time, to try to improve the experience you have during YOUR EvE time. I mean, ultimately it's up to you. You can limp along in your nullbear corp, waste time gatecamping in lowsec, bump miners in highsec in the futile hope that one of them will forget themselves and shoot at you, OR you could join a wormhole corporation and play EvE, I mean REALLY play EvE.

Wormholes. CCP swung the nerf bat and missed. We are still here, rolling the holes, taking part in wormhole fights, making the isk to lose in glorious Technicolour explosions, and suffering not in the least from CCPs attentions.

You bittervets and pewkitties complain that "PvP Isn't what it used to be, no one wants to fight" etc etc etc, Join a wormhole corporation. We get fights all the time and i'm not talking about the Pandemic Legion version where you tackle a hauler then hotdrop 2 moms and 8 dreads plus support on to it, then all whore on the pod kill.

I'm talking about fights where the FC has to be on the top of his game.

Where a single mistake can have dire consequences.

Where there is an upper mass limit of what you can bring to a fight without wrecking your chances of navigating home.

Where there is no local, so intelligence gathering is actually important again, and not something to keep bored inty pilots busy.

Where there is no "drop a mom, game is done" win button, and a single carrier/dread can tip the balance completely if introduced to the battlespace at exactly the right moment.

Where what you do as an individual pilot actually means something. Pay attention and help your corp achieve a stunning victory, or coast along, thumb up bum, mind in neutral, and join your corpmates on the funeral pyre.

Its up to you. Coast along, or come join channel "Serene Recruitment". You just might discover something that will rock your world.
