New citizen here. Just signed up for a new subscription and was supposed to get a new ship. Went online, no new ship, no mail notification, no instructions...etc. What am I missing?

At the character selection screen, there should be a option at the bottom to move the ship to one of your characters.

When you log in, and are on the character select screen, you may have an option at the bottom of the screen to redeem items.

If you're in game, the easiest way to get at it is to go to the NES, and use the redeem option at the bottom of that screen.

Woo! CSM XI!

You will also be able to claim a battlecruiser of your choice from Aura once you dock at the station in HED-GP (search system in locations). Be aware this is a new player thing only though and you'll only be able to claim it once.

Whatever you do, do not do that. Obvious troll and fairly lame considering it is aimed at a new player.

You should post questions like this in the New Players Q&A section, where moderators will hopefully do a good job of screening out this kind of obvious BS.

OP don't listen to this guy, he's just trying to keep you away from your free ship. Pretty lame move if you ask me. I bet he just wants all the free ships to himself.

HED-GP is a great place where you will learn a lot about EVE, that you would never learn being stuck in and around your starter system, mining or whatever it is the renowned, self proclaimed experts in newbie chat is telling you to do.

Could your lame-ass troll be any more obvious?

OP, HED-GP is a nullsec system owned by a player alliance. If you fall for this stupidity, what will likely happen will be you getting killed, a lot, on the way there, then getting scammed and laughed at if you do actually get there. You can actually cross-check everything I am saying with the system search tools in game and a little forum searching Big smile

By all means, make your own choices, just remember that you are more likely to get genuine and well meaning advice if you stick to the New Citizens Q&A section of the forum, instead of weak and obvious trolling like this guy Roll

Well there's only really one way to find out isn't there? All I'm saying is, you will receive a free battlecruiser if you dock in HED-GP. Also, curious, what battlecruiser would you pick?

Well, although it is good for new players to expand their experience, it is usually best to gain it at a reasonable rate.
Going straight to a somewhat suicidal place for a new player, is generally not wise.
If one tells you not to take any notice of the whirling blades and gratings and sprinklers to wash the blood away, because there is a free shiny at the end, it is worth noticing if he is licking his lips and is firing up the barbequeue first before going in.......

Even if you make it to HED-GP station you won't be able to dock there. Blink
As a general rule of thumb: If something sounds too good to be true, it most certainly is a scam.

Oh, and post these sort of questions in the " EVE New Citizens Q&A" subforum. If someone tries to mislead/scam you there he risks getting banned for it.
Here in "General Discussions" the normal EVE rules apply. (meaning scamming people is allowed)

you won't be able to fly the battlecruiser for months so I suggest waiting and learning a little about the game first. (HINT: google: HED-GP) Blink

Also the 3rd rule of EVE, trust nobody unless you know where they live. And it's near enough to visit them and beat their ass.

Worth re-stating that.

But don't trust what people are telling you on the forums. Use the in-game search tools. Don't start your EVE career with being scammed.

Ooooh....but those free shinies are so hard to resist.

Gotta have high aspirations and goals, I like that. No not believing in yourself!

What's the sexiest battlecruiser then?

I suggest you look a Gnosis.

Its basically a ******* Battlecruiser Noobship with set bonuses.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Gallactica.

That's the extent of my battlecruiser database. Or was that a battlestar? Same thing?

Thanks for your help everyone. I'm doing baby steps...as you can tell...so no hurry.

Confirming that WASPY is an ******* and you should completely ignore him.

Likely his only way he can win is trying to bait a new player into a fight.
