Modules = can be fit even though you don't have the skills to use/online them
Skills = cannot be injected unless you have the prerequisites

Suggestion: Allow players to inject skills that they can't yet train (and/or allow them to be queued behind the prerequisite skills). This would expand the usefulness of the upcoming skill queue length changes.

Expected argument against this: Allowing players to inject skills and queue them to be trained after their prerequisites finish encourages AFK gameplay.
Counter argument: The skill queue is going to be unlimited (isn't that already AFK?), why not make it truly unlimited and let us 'fit' skills like we can 'fit' modules. Unlimited skill queue, but I still need to login just to inject/queue Battleship 1 after my Battlecruiser 3 and Spaceship Command 4 skills finish?

Two months ago I would have said meh - but with the upcoming skill queu changes, this makes total sense. Definitely +1

+1 This makes total sense. If there was an issue with this the unlimited skill queue counters it by existing. Nice one Alyx!

I tend to agree now. Does make sense and "ghost training" went out the window a while back. +1

This has a counter issue. Currently any skill injected can be trained regardless of if you meet the pre-requisites. This is so that if they change the pre-requisites you don't end up unable to train a skill you already have and/or use.
Allowing injection before use would cause issues with this.

Idea is original and was definitely not posted a couple dozen times already in the thread announcing the skill queue changes. Nor have there been threads posted about it in features and ideas already. You're getting in on the ground floor of this.

They could change that. Right now you can't train level 4 of a skill before level 3, and you're forced to remove level 4 from your queue before removing level 3. They could change injected skills to be similar (e.g. having to remove Battleship 1 from the queue before removing Spaceship Command 4).

This is neither "skill escrow" nor 'free skills' that get rid of ever having to buy skill books. I believe having to buy skill books/visit skill book stations is good. Having to travel creates risk. Phoebe seems to be all about encouraging gate-travel.
