Hi, long time not played.

I would like to use my megathron for PVE lvl4 security missions. I dont have money for a Dominix or something else ;)

Do you have any fit? Or any tips for playing the Megathron?

I'm skilled so i can use lot of T2.

Thanks !

Cap Recharger II
Eutectic Capacitor Charge Array

425mm Railgun II, Antimatter Charge L
425mm Railgun II, Antimatter Charge L
425mm Railgun II, Antimatter Charge L
425mm Railgun II, Antimatter Charge L

Well to be honest I would recommend a Dominix. A rail-Meagthron is not a bad choice.

I once tried a blaster-thron but all that moving around did cost tons of capacitor and you will notice that the Megathron can not take much punishment.

A large micro-jumpdrive will go a long way of keeping your Megathron out of harms way and railguns will hit better when you are further away.
You will need to use Spike L ammo at that range.

In case your capacitor is getting low and needs to recharge a bit, use Lead L ammo for a while.
Lead has the least capacitor usage and does the same damage as Spike L with less range.
Antimatter L for closer targets.
Javelin L for anything closer than 35km.

In case you need to wait until you can micro-jump again as a rule of thumb do not let anything get closer than 20km from your ship.
Shooting smaller ships first, unless they trigger a new wave, will be your best option.

Happy sniping!

I used to use a similar fit on a Hyperion for lvl 4 missions.

With a Rail fit ship you need to use tactics but nothing like in Incurions or PVP.

Right click on the mission info when in space and see if you can warp to at a distance, if you can warp in at 70-100km, then kill the smallest first and work your way through cruisers and the battleships.

If you can't warp at range, then use the MJD to get some range and then start on the frigs and then on up.

Use EVE-Survival.org before running the mission to get a decent idea of what's in the mission, but don't treat the info as accurate.

Fly safe and watch out for gankers.
