Enormous freight containers and mining

So recently i saw a mining op in a belt where a freighter launched several of these containers that the miners proceeded to fill up and i thought great! I am going to do that as well...

I am now convinced i was somehow high , drunk or both since no matter what i do , different corp roles , right mouse-click menu or so i just cannot make it possible for other corp members to be able to drop ore into these containers. Always the same error , something akin to : "You cannot drop items into this container since you are not the owner"

-Tried all possible combinations of corp roles for both the freighter pilot and the miners.
-Tried looking for the elusive launch for corp/abandon container options to no avail.

How do you do it? Did i just hallucinate and see things that are simply not possible?

PS: I am talking about enormous freight containers, the type you cannot anchor.

right click with miner. "open container"
it will stay open in your ship cargo menu so you can close the inventory menuy

believe me that is the very first thing i tried... (i'm not that stupid i dare say)

But the miners simply cannot put anything into said container since it gives them an error.

Anyhow i found a workaround, I simply launch the repackaged containers from my orca and the miners put their ore in the fleet hangar which i then put into the enormous containers. once the 4 containers are full (usually the belt is fully done by then) i swap the orca for a quick freighter run.

Do you have to be in a fleet together?

Nice workaround. I remember using those giant containers in an Iteron Mark V once. I was able to cram more volume using them. I never thought of trying that with my Orca. Thanks for the idea now Idea

Beware they have 10 HP.

Also beware they do not persist through downtime: Disappearing Freight Containers in Space

... because CODE. loves miners with suspect timers.

if you have the isk may i suggest something completley different and it works GRRREAT! (especially if system has no station)

Drop a small pos put a Compression array on it and a Personal hanger ....this way you can have afk boosts 23/7 and you get people that are happier cause freighter pilots have to haul less and people that use your buy back program (if you don't have one you should) are happier as well cause they get slightly better prices .....for those few corpies that just haul it striaght to station instead of pos compress then station you can always buy that back and then go compress it and get better isk for your corp

apparently the only real market hub to do this would be Jita as the other hubs just don't have a big compressed ore market

As I slipped my finger slowly inside her hole, I could immediately feel it getting wetter and wetter.

I took my finger back out and within seconds she was going down on me.

"I really need a new boat," I thought to myself.

Yeah this little trick is working quite well for lazy people like me.

Oh we have a pos but as i have said before i am extremely lazy (i am both the freighter guy and the booster) and frankly it was annoying for the miners to lose their range bonus's for even a short while because of the orca hauling ore back to the pos. This solved the issue letting me boost nonstop with no necessary warps and i have yet to find a belt i cant fit in 4 of those containers.

Time is also a non issue , just 3 good covetors make quick work of a belt with good boosts and no downtime.
