Hey guys

Returning after being away for most of 2014, and was relatively a noob before I left.

I dont have a great deal of time these days to play, but love the game and concept idea - specially as it lasts when so many other games fall by the wayside.

What I am looking for is suggestions as to what to concentrate into and have fun, that dont need dozens of playtime each week to manage properly. I'm easy as to whether this is in the form of mining, crafting, trading, exploring, etc.

Hope to hear back and appreciate you taking the time!

Sorry I should say that Im not into PvP.

PvP in EvE, from what I recall, is too time-block intensive, with people running around for long periods etc, I just want stuff I can nip in for an hour and nip out :)

Run relic sites and build T1 rigs.

did you read the blog?
cos its about as casual as pvp can get, no need for protracted periods of gaming or any degree of committal actually.
i have twins so my play time is limited and flippingbears fits that perfectly.

Just off the top of my head...

Trading and PI are probably the most time-manageable activities available. You can control exactly how much time you devote to updating market orders, and you can set your PI runs to last as long as you want.

Exploration can take long periods of time, but you can break it up into far smaller chunks as you see fit. You spend most of the time cloaked in space, so you can AFK whenever and log-off whenever you feel like.

Faction War can provide PVP in smaller chunks, since you mostly sit in a plex for 15-30 minutes and either get PVP or get Loyalty Points.

Mission running can vary a great deal, since it largely depends on what mission you pull. I haven't run a mission in years, though.

Mining is incredibly time consuming, but it's low-attention time. You can mine while being half-AFK, and even in low/null/WH you only have to pay enough attention to D-Scan and watch Local.

I know sometimes it's difficult to realize just how much you spend on incidental things each month or year, but seriously, EVE is very cheap entertainment compared to most things... If you are a smoker, smoke one less pack a week and pay for EVE, with money left over to pick up a cheap bundle of flowers for the EVE widow upstairs.
