Scam Alert - Alliance: Vanguard. Corp: Raven's Flight

Hey guys

Just making a post to let everyone know not to offer Merc contracts to the Alliance: Vanguard.

I made a post in here a few weeks ago offering a contract to kill a medium POS in low sec. I got a mail from Wingmate, a director in Raven's Flight, saying they could take it. We agree on terms and I sent the initial payment then Wingmate blocks me and I never hear anything again.

Thought I would share so no one else would get caught by these scammers.

if you did not speak directly to an alliance diplomate, you deserve to be scammed homie

edit: i am a corp diplomat, not an alliance one. i'm also a corp director, not an alliance one.

I'm not saying it is not my fault, I am calling the alliance out for being scammers. To info everyone else to be wary of them.

Corp Info showing him listed as Diplomat totally means he is not being an alliance diplomat, since alliance info doesn't list him being alliance diplomat.

So, in my restricted mind and being someone who has a quite restricted mind: if someone offers someone else he might take down a POS with his buddies and not talking about "Me and Vanguard." or "Me and RAFL" or "Me and my alliance" or "Me and my Corp" still means he and his buddies, which aren't exactly defined as his corp or alliance.

Him being a scammer is a reflection of him being diplomat of corp and/or alliance. Even if he was only going to do it with his buddies he is still an appointed diplomat for his Corp, which in turn is representing the alliance. Now if they were to kick him from the corp or kick the corp from the alliance then I would just assume that he and only he is a scammer. As it stands they are all lumped in together as scammers. Arguing that he wasn't an alliance diplomat is semantics, corps go on "corp only" ops all the time. I understood the risks of sending a guy 500M isk upfront that is why we split the total payment up into milestones. The ONLY reason this is getting posted is to help fellow capsuleers understand what they are getting into and try and safeguard their assets when dealing with Vanguard., Raven's Flight, and Wingmate.

I'm just going to go out on a limb and say you were never going to do it because:

1. You never returned my mails or convo invites.
2. You blocked me prior to this thread ever being made.
3. You replied to this thread saying that you never heard of me after we swapped mails multiple times while negotiating terms.

I never said I expected your alliance to plan an op around this. I included Vanguard. in the post because well...you are in Vanguard.

Does it matter if he is an alliance diplomat or not?

Corp director/diplomat in Vanguard scammed someone... all anyone should need to hear to not use these guys.
