best mining ship still hulk?

i have been away from the game many years and have returned and was wondering if hulk is still the best for mining or would that capital ship with 6 high slots with miner 2's be better then hulk with 3 strip miners? or any other ships are better? .. thanks

for yield I do believe the hulk is the best. Macks have less yield but huge ore bays and more tank. the Skiff gets the worst yield but can fit a huge tank, and it gets a cool drone bonus.

so best isn't exactly clear, use case can swing the results any way.

Mining ships got a decent overhaul and now it is more about what you are wanting to do and how, as the prior poster stated the Mackinaw has a huge ore hold making it good for solo mining or when an ore runner is not available, the Skiff can get a massive tank making it a challenge to gank, the hulk has the highest yield but a small ore hold making it rely on an ore runner to be efficient.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

one small addition: as of a year ago or so, freighters can scoop up jet cans, so there is nothing speaking against hauling in a freighter.

I should buy an Ishtar.

Depends... if you mine solo.. i guess mack .. and hulk in mining ops.. i got 1 orca booster and 2-3 miners.. i started to go with skiffs with ice and ores since i get a little more yield with skiffs .. pretty cool :D
