New Eden Store Currently Unavailable - Potential Problem/Workaround

So I haven't been able to access the NES for probably over a month now. Per GM Arcade's instructions I was using the launcher to start the game, so it should have worked.

I decided to submit a bug report today and found the potential bug / fix while going through the motions as I was writing up the steps to reproduce the problem. I use a custom icon set and pointed my desktop shortcuts to the following location:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Account 1\launcher\launcher.exe

However during my step-by-step reproduction write up I noticed this shortcut in the installation directory:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Account 1\EVE Online Launcher

So I went ahead and clicked on that shortcut and launched the game. Sure enough I was able to access the NES when launching the game using this shortcut. I was able to reproduce this multiple times. I also verified that both paths are using the same launcher (Version 2.1.826897).

Not sure what this means but hopefully it helps others who may experience the same problem.
