Myrmidon ratting fit

Hello everyone. I've been gone for this game a very long time, and I'm now looking to fit a Myrmidon for null sec ratting against Serpentis. Any advice on how to do that, or of it's even possible? I would like to stay decently cheap with the fit if possible, so no 50 mil modules thanks ;)

Also, would I be able to do anomalies with such fits? I guess not every level, so up to what?

Belt ratting won't be a problem and the myrmi has a sufficient tank capability to handle even the hardest level anoms however it's got nothing on the ishtar.

The ishtar is in a really powerful place right now as the king of the hacs for both pve and pvp (it got nerfed recently and it still outperforms everything).

Long story short, if you can fly an Ishtar then get one otherwise a myrmi will suffice. Incidentally even the navy vexor is not far behind the ishtar, similar hull and bonuses just lower resists.

Yeah, flying a Ishtar has always been a dream of mine, and now that I came back and noticed how great it is in the current meta I was pleasently surprised. However, the problem is that I cannot afford it at this time, so... I guess myrmidon it is, at least for a while.

Gotta find a decent fit yet, though...

Myrmi and navy vexor are similarly priced, I would go for the vexor.

For some reasons, despite the hull bonus, with t2 rigs the Myrm tank better with a shield tank than an armor tank, go figures.

First you buy a Myrmidon and get her to a station with fitting service and bring some modules along, than open the fitting screen and drag the modules from your hangar to the middle of the fitting screen.

Repeat until no slot is unfilled Smile

And yes it is possible!

Happily.... no.

Myrm will usually have a Cap booster... especially for PvP, and will do a LOT more damage. As a fleet support ship you'll be loved... 1v1.... curse has issues.

surely if the myrm is blaster fit the curse can just kite/stay out of range and pick off the sentries?

Myrmidon turrets are a small fracton of the ship total dps and drones are a cap independant weapons.
In adition to that, PVE myrmidon are often passive shield tanked so cap independant tank.

It's like hard counter to a Curse.
