Hi guys,

As you can understand, i am returning to Eve after a 3 years break from the game. Seeing how much has changed since then, but still wanting to jump on the fun from the start, please give me some advice about a good ship to start relearning pvp.

My thing is lowsec solo work, i can fly almost all races t1 ships and some t2s, but i won't get into anything bigger than a cruiser at this moment. t1, t2 frigs and t1 cruisers is what i am looking for.

I have almost perfect fitting skills, almost perfect gunnery skills, some missiles skills, good armor and not bad shield skills, so basically, almost any race/fitting should suit me well.

Since i will lose a lot of spaceships in the start, please try to recommend fittings that would cost less than 15-20mil after insurance.

Thank you in advance.

the current FotM seem to be drones, so maybe have a look at the tristan, ishkur, dragoon or algos.

I should buy an Ishtar.

Thanks, i happen to have good drones skills too :).

Are warrior II's still the best small drones to use? to be able to catch the faster ships?

From what I've seen it's been a lot of kittey ships or drone boats, or both.

If you got the isk and the allocated skillpoints, try out the Navy Omen. It's all the rage right now.

some of the kiting ships can be difficult to catch, especially when they use warfare link alts. this is one of the reasons why the algos has a drone velocity role bonus.

I should buy an Ishtar.

Welcome back

Check the link in my Sig , go to losses, have a look at the ishkurs therein. Tweak as you see fit.
To be flown with a full set of halos and aimed at stuff much larger than itself, that said it will kill almost anything it can catch.
it's not very good at catching things though.
tthe full t2 fit is obout 60-70 million though I use it for flipping mission runners so I don't actually have to roam with it (though when I do I go mwd-long point rather than ab-scram)

might be a bit pricey for yo at all t2 fit but it's a solid little brawler capable of surprising things, a couple of months ago I was chewing up a typhoon and a blaster proteus showed up to save it ... It didn't....nor did it get away Pirate

Rail comet, Dual web arty Firetail, Scorch Slicer, Dual damp Hookbill are all pretty badass solo boats. Cheap too.

You can fit an inkursus in the same fashion and get similar results , dual rep to make up for the lacking resistance profile, it's substantially cheaper but struggels with destroyers and drone centric targets whereas the ishkur Wil just "LoL, here have some antimatter"

And let's not forget that medium railguns and beam lasers are not terrible anymore.

250mm Rails do almost as much dps as Heavy Neutrons and Heavy Beams do more dps than Heavy Pulses both with quite decent tracking and amazing projection.

What God's Apple said!

Medium railguns and beam lasers got a +25% damage increase in May I think but a -15% tracking nerf ontop Sad

I said that the tracking nerf was unwarrented but who listens to a girl anyway..

Oh and not to forget since the medium turrets got a damage increase, heavy missiles got range and application nerfed just a few months prior to the change.

If you think about using heavy missile, for all that is holy, drop taht idea and erase it out of your memory.

i see, good to know. Too bad all my training in missions is worthless atm :)

Thanks again for the info guys. It's very hard to me to adapt to the new meta. Things happen too fast, i don't have the reaction time needed for that :).
