Can we please make it possible to move steam eve accounts to CCP accounts? I am tired of having to verify my steam account EVERY singly time I try to login to the forums. I gotta open my email and all that crap.

Not to mention if steam goes down I cant play EVE. CCP doesn't give us account info yet they still make us pay and don't reimburse us for time lost.

Reimburse? Not even the cable company does that. Reimburse for time lost...what a concept.
Do you think capitalism will take to it?

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

So what your post is saying is that you cannot post and/or play EvE?

Is your post a.......lie?

I did and then I read the part where you called them out for fraud. Poor customer service and your decision to use steam for EvE is not fraud. You had a choice and you made the wrong one. If you want to make a suggestion, you're in the wrong place. If you want to go after CCP for fraud.....you're in the wrong place. You just don't make good decisions.

I didn't know steam would be so bad? Secondly EVERY MMO I've played on steam gives you separate login credentials

CCP is the ONLY company I have come across on steam that doesn't give you integration on MMO's.

Why did you ever buy this game on Steam? Also when was it ever on steam? I never use it and I hate it. I have one game from Steam being "Endless Space" and even then, I don't play it much.

I didn't know you had to use steam credentials to log on.

When I connect to the forums, I never need to enter my steam credentials - I just use the EvE username/passowrd.

Like the poster above I too bought EVE through steam when it was on a special offer (in like 09 or something), but haven't ever had to use steam to verify anything. Not on the forums, not on the launcher/game.
There should be an option when logging in to either name your in game character, OR use steam. Just log out, then log in, and on the log in screen choose the former option.
And as for the game itself, don't launch through steam, just download the launcher.

You don't have to open steam to play EvE, just use eve.exe file from steam folder. Find a folder in Steam (propably on C:\Steam) that contains installed games, find EvE and open eve.exe file or launcher.exe. You'll never have to open steam again. I'm not in home so i can't give you direct filepath. I made same mistake and installed EvE on steam.
Edit: path is C:\steam\steamapps\common\eve online\eve

That would suggest that Steam is not required in any shape or form, which would then suggest, Downloading the exe from the offical EVE site, and instailing the game, and using your account details should allow you to login, even if steam is not instailed.

I was told this no longer works....

My steam EvE works perfectly without steam, and propably would work the way you suggested. Why wouldn't it? I have no time to download "rare" non steam install and check it, maybe at saturday.
Funny thing i just checked my second game at steam and *.exe file forced steam to open.
