Unlock All Targets Except ...

Hello,

Perhaps I have not found the function in game already, or perhaps it doesn't exist. However, I would like to propose an "Unlock All Targets Except..." function that would unlock all currently targeted targets except the one you click on. It could be used for all different purposes; namely for easier targeting with logistics and the like.

Thoughts? Am I just doing it wrong currently?

A hot key and/or addition to the right click menu to "unlock all targets but this" would be a nice addition. I've had situations where that would be useful.

Cloaking is the closest thing to a "Pause Game" button one can get while in space.

Support better localization for the Japanese Community.

I know that would make a ton if not all logi pilots very happy.

But to answer op's question, nope wasn't proposed before (like ever), nope isn't in the game and yes it's a good idea.

Right now you only "manually" unlock targets with CTRL+SHIFT+Mouse 1 (front left click).

Since I am forum-posting on everything else, massive +1 from me. Easier on logi, easier on PvE if you shoot a trigger and need to swap targets right after the next shot, etc.

Thanks for the positive replies so far. Was running some incursions with a screen full of locks and wanted them all gone immediately. Realized I wasted a bunch of valuable time doing that instead of locking and saving.

Since you can have rows of targets. I think an 'Unlock Row' button would be more practical.

This way, you can have your vital targets on row 2, and keep your hot swapping targets on row 1. You can cleanse row 1 when you want by clicking an unlock row button on the left or right of it.

Just my 2 cents.

I won't give it a -1, but I won't give it a +1 either. It would be convenient to have, but at the same time, it seems to me that this would remove a certain potential for player error. Also, I feel like if there was an "Unlock All Except..." function, that there would consequently need to be a "Lock All" function. Personally, I'm content with using the Ctrl+Left Click shortcut for targeting. I wasn't aware of the Ctrl+Shift+Left Click shortcut for unlocking. I usually just pay close attention to my locked targets; which locked target is being actively targeted at the time (i.e. which target is going to be receiving the weenie). I don't really see an "Unlock All Except..." feature as being necessary. But that's just me.

Not necessarly no, and we have a module for that purpose - behold the auto-targetting array I and II.
