everything is not back to normal. I am currently stuck trying to log back in to the game hoping I have a small amount of control to be able to access my agent, kill the mission i just lost my ship in, so I can get my loot back.

I do not remember those numbers. I remember 30 - 35 on a typical 23:00 week day and 50 - 55 at 23:00 on a typical weekend day.

I remember CCP making a song and dance over hitting 58k during an alliance tournament final. I also remember CCP celebrating a day we hit 62k. I wouldn't describe these normal occurrences.

There is a significant gap in my memory from late 2011 to early 2014.

I'm still waiting on forum troll #9000 to explain why CCP cannot offer a reliable online experience so your lessons will have to wait.

Normally EVE is very stable, but yes they have had issues lately.

I think the point they are trying to make is that it is very probable that the issue is not EVE itself... and that a single shard game server has some vulnerabilities to attack that other large companies do not (which are self evident).

We have seen instances in the past where EVE was the subject of said attacks, we have also seen instances where there were issues with the network hops close to their servers. Rarely (although there have been a couple of times) have we seen an issue that was directly caused by EVE or its servers.

It is very easy to point the finger at CCP when something like this happens, and it could very well be an issue at their end... but usually its not.

but Pathfinder Online is still in Alpha ... so the odd glitch is expected .. EVE has been out 10 years

Had to bypass the launcher, it keeps bugging out on me. The game is slow as well, yes.
