Faction Warfare Unstable Plexes

I play a bit of FW now and then and the most fun moments are when you get a 1v1 or or balanced sides. The least fun are when you get blobbed. I would like see some game mechanics that encourage more action and less blobbing. The novice, small and medium plexes go some of the way there towards balance, but I'd like to see some extra changes.


Unstable Plexes:
Occasionally spawn some novice, small and medium plexes as 'Unstable'. When unstable, the gate will lock for 60 seconds after a ship or ships use it. If the plex is empty, any amount of ships can activate the gate at the same time (within 10 seconds). Once inside, the acceleration gate is locked for 60 seconds. When the lock period is over, the amount of ships that can activate it at the same time is restricted to the amount already inside the plex.

So if I enter an unstable plex, the gate will lock for 60 seconds. If 3 ships come along, only 1 will be able to use the gate because there's only me inside the plex, the other 2 will have to wait out the 60 second lock and hope their friend survives. If we're both still alive after 60 seconds, the 2 ships that were locked out can now use the gate because there's 2 ships already inside. If I kill their friend, that leaves just me inside so that means only one of them can enter.
