How to scan for gravimetric sites to find better ore?

Does it use the directional scanner or do you need scanner probes?

People talk about how eve is better than WoW. I still get one shotted undocking in a frigate if there's a WT thrasher outside. It looks eerily similar to getting one shotted in WoW battlegrounds by a x9 level player when you're x1-4 levels.

Gravimetric sites are now called ore sites and do not need to be scanned down. They appear as anomalies in your scan probe window (anomalies are always at 100% so you can warp to them without scanning).

I suspect you are looking at an old source. The name has been changed and the sites used to require probing.

Edit: Press Alt+D in space to bring up probe window, choose the probe scanner tab, and make sure the "show anomalies" box is checked. You'll see them in the list if they are available in that system.

Data and relic sites (previous radar and magnemetric sites), wormholes, and some combat sites still require probing.
