Forum allowance based on activity... that's not that bad actually.

Anyhow, open for suggestions.

id suggest you read this then.

Nope.
Not yet. :)

It's actually weird that we can't block people outside of the game, no?

It is a bit. Seems they forgot that.

Well I guess I am adding to the point.

Thanks for linking it. :)

This shouldn't be breaking of rules.

This shows why allowing npc shitposters outside of new players are is bad.

they can hide, have a big mouth and nothing stops them.

there is a point to be made.

So if I give up 8 minutes of training time to make myself a one-man corp, all problems are solved?

I see you have thought this through.
Well it wouldn't work like that. As you have shown, that is too easy to circumvent.

CAOD has a 10 member minimum limit, so something along those lines.

Link in my sig I already suggested it and plenty of support in it in favor for that idea.

Well ... I guess this strongly depends on behaviour.

I do know and understand that people exist who legitimately don't wish
to leave the npc corp ... members of CAS, for example ...
... but when you can do whatever you want without negative consequences ...

.... that's not within the style of EVE.

Cowards who hide behind npc alts to post crap ...
... who know that nothing will stop them ...
... nothing happens to them ingame ...
... and bans take too long to be enacted.

It shouldn't be this way.

It would be a start, though.

I have absolutely no problem with NPC forum alts (obviously). Lying, scamming and hiding identities is a key part of EVE. Why should the forums be any different? Forums are simply another tool to use to gather intel. NPC alts let people gather intel without giving anything away.

Punishing many due to errors of a few is never a good idea.

There is plenty of examples of players that are in player corps trolling and abusing in this forum, should all player corps be banned from posting too?

Yep but, the difference is that player corporation member has to deal with the consequences of their actions. The npc corp member does not. See the link in my sig for more details; it's not a punishment either its a restriction no need to sensationalize it.

I love how the same people who go around spewing the "HTFU" and "EVE has consequences huehuehue" lines are totally okay with alt posting, because dodging the consequences of having stupid opinions or trolling is the only reason to post on an alt. Anything else is a paper-thin justification.

The cognitive dissonance is hilarious.

You missed the detail ghat people in player corps actually log in ...
... and play ...
... thus face the possibility of consequences.

You are allowed to

That's the problem

I have posted this before and will again:

I will hide who I really am every chance I get. Right now, anyone who posts with their main: I know who you are, who your corp is and what general area you do business in. You know absolutely nothing about me. What possible reason would I have for posting with a real character?

I am an honest, decent person in real life. EVE lets me 'be the villain'. Anonymous alts help me gather intel to do just that. 'Be the villain', you know, as CCP said I could?
