Its a pure eft ( pyta to be honest), but since they are coming soon i was wondering how could be used and i ended with this setup:

high:
8x neutron blasters ( fed antimater/null)

med:
1x 10mn MWD ( Y-T8)
1x disruptor II ( 24km range)
2x fleeting web

low:
1x DC II
1x EANM II
1x C-type ANP
1x 1600mm rolled plate
1x MFS II ( damage mod)

drones:
5x wariors II

rigs:
1x ancillary ( need powergrid for neutrons)
2x trimarks

Stats without implants, boosters or gang bonuses
BLASTER DPS with fed. antimater ( not overloaded) : 843
BLASTER DPS with fed. antimater ( overloaded) : 960
BLASTER DPS with null ( not overloaded) : 665
BLASTER DPS with null ( overloaded) : 765

Range with antimater ( optimal/falloff) : 4.5/12.5 km
Range with NULL ( optimal/falloff) : 11.3/15.6 km

drones DPS: 80.4

EHP: 39908

Honestly does not seems so bad ...
with implants ( both 5% implants) and and overloading it push 1138 DPS before any booster or gang bonus and the double web can be very handy to apply the DPS. 40k EHP its not that bad either making this ship a "not so glass" cannon ship.

Dunno if i would use it solo, but in small engagements could have a rule.

Any thoughts?

For close range brawls, the Talos is honestly pretty decent. Blasters mean its going to be laying on the pain, especially after the buff, and +7.5% tracking per level means it'll be able to apply that DPS very nicely. It only suffers at a range, but I'd say it's okay because all the other tier 3 BC's excel at a range and are "meh" up close.

I was thinking it might be good as a option for AHAC fleets, something like this

[Talos, AHAC]
1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Armor Explosive Hardener II
Damage Control II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II

10MN Afterburner II
Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I

Tracking Computer II, Optimal Range

Neutron Blaster Cannon II, Null L

Its almost as fast as a Zealot, its got face**** dps and BETTER tracking then a pulse Zealot. Its problems is EHP and Sig resolution on guns but that is ok if you are attacking battleships and its cheap.

520m/s unheated with all V

Can be compared with a standard AHAC zealots 557m/s.

On a side note and not to Derail the thread:

Talos can fit a 100MN AB (T2 even) plus full Rack of Neutrons w/o much of a struggle. I'm not sure how this works in PvP, but I've had fun testing purely speed tank Talos (read no shield/armor mods AT ALL) w/ 425's and LiF Booster Rockets and hitting 1200 m/s and plinking rats from 100 km doing good damage (450+ depending on ammo) is pretty fun.

Just my thoughts, hope it adds to the discussion : )

Compared how, by there pathetic speed? Zealots don't move at a Snails pace because they think it is fast, they do it because they are Sig tanking. Sig Tanking is something the Tolos can not do so you might as well stick an MWD on that thing and actually get into range to hit the target seeing as unlike the Zealot you don't have a 30-40km Optimal Range.

It is not an AHAC...

One of the tightest fits imaginable, but just LOOK at it! A magstab is interchangeable with an EANM.
1063dps with CN Antimatter
1341dps with Void overheated (Will Void be useful with the dual webs and tracking buff?)
37.1k ehp
1.2km/s
Frigate defence!

If this ship manages to land on a cruiser or smaller, the fight is over before it has already begun.
Unfortunately, it will lose to battlecruisers in a straight-up brawl.

Yea I guess but 200m isnt a huge sig radius, they are quite small.
The range is a bigger issue tho, the 13+20kms is better dps up to 26km then falls quickly.

It really is for Sig Tanking and know what fleet FC's love, when you are in the one ship in the gang where your falloff ends at everyone elses Optimal is.

Fit an MWD because you are not Sig Tanking Battleships in that thing.

It does speed tank alpha maelstroms unless you get webbed but any zealot that gets webbed will be hit about as much.

Oh good it speed tanks a fleet that rolls with Rapiers and Hurricanes. I am sure it is a big comfort considering T1 Resists and the fact that Maelstrom can outrun it while it fits ridiculously short weapons.

Go right ahead and put a MWD on it so you can actually do some real DPS with it.

Thanks. I might actually buy one now.

Still the number of these new BC that are going to fall to single AFs is going to be pretty big.

Try adding the Genolution augs into the mix. It's almost like CCP designed the Tier 3s to be used with these implants. Hmm...

I'd use EC-300s rather than warriors but other than that, +1
