Since this is by far one of the most active subsections of the EvE forums, I wanted to ask here for multiple reasons:

1) How do I get in contact with CCP's business development team? I'd like to pitch a proposal to them and I can't seem to find a person to reach.

2) How would the player base respond to having mobile phone and tablet (Apple, Samsung, Amazon, etc) cases with EvE images decorating the back? Imagine starting with the four factions' logos on a back drop of their space's colors. i.e. Gallente Logo with a greenish nebula, Caldari logo with a blueish nebual, Amarr with gold, and Minmatar with rust.

Given the success or demand, could always move on to putting ships on the back of the cases.

Hopefully a CCP rep or ISD can point me in the right direction and pass this along. Show your support if this is something you'd be willing to purchase!

Right do you have a factory that produces cases? Do you have a full team designer at your factory that can do ODM if CCP doesn't want to do OEM? Do you have contacts in distribution channels that would get these products into the hands of consumers? Oh right, I didn't think so. I know you're trying to be Internet tough but honestly if you think giving 2 sentences of a business plan makes you suddenly know how to go from start to finish on a project it might be time to rethink moving out of your parents basement.

As I mentioned, it was just to see if there was any interest in them as that's not my companies responsibility, doing marketing research.

Typically those who have the business sense to have all the things you say you have, also have the business sense to be able to get in contact with other businesses. Especially without asking on the forums, and double especially without telling the people on the forums of your proposal.

Pretty sure that CCP has their own resources available to them. What's to stop them from simply cutting out the middle man (you)?

I have a printer and loads of card, some people who doodle, a fold out table and a boot fair nearby every weekend, so I'm gonna steal the idea too!

But yeah, as Angeal said, someone who has all of those things would generally have the good sense to not use the forum to ask a dead simple question like how to get hold of CCP, and certainly would not be like "hey hey, here's the idea we haven't even pitched to the business yet, put on a public forum known for trolling". Good job.

Bah, nobody here going to actually bother to follow up on stealing that idea.... Smile But true, if you want to get any traction contacting a game company, you can't come off as a fanboy coming from the playerbase. Can you imagine how many unsolicited ideas/contacts they get from player/entrepreneurs?

Lucky for CCP, most of us here are fairly mature. But imagine COD, WoW, etc. Youngsters with a lot of time and imagination, but no experience to know what's realistic and what isn't, and no means to follow through anyway. The people who read the mail just don't have time to read everything and sort the grain from the chaff.*

*And-- the legal department tells them not to read unsolicited mail. Because, what if somebody sends in an idea that matches something we were already working on? Or that we had on the back burner for someday? We develop our idea, then some guy pops up with a record that he sent a similar idea to us, we stole it, and he deserves a % of the profits. It's a quandary-- they can get nailed for just opening a mail. OP, for background, check out NDAs (non-disclosure agreements).

Factory: Outsource to a print-on-demand 3D-printing business.
ODM: Download one of ten gazillion 3D-models of phone cases and tweak it.
Distribution: See 'Factory'. These businesses will often also give you access to a storefront where you set the price. You only pay for manufacturing when someone actually orders one.
Business Plan: You're welcome.

Edit: Or just Google "custom phone case".
