There's another nullsec group that used to do freighter ganks. We don't like them, so we used to ruin their ganks & save their targets. This nullsec group doesn't gank anymore.

Ah, I knew it was the nullsec politics… Not sure if you mention those ganks, but I think I remember the exact period you're talking about. during my anti-ganking activity in Niarja (October 2013), I had noticed several Goon Blackbirds and Falcons effectively supporting our counter-gank ECM in order to ruin the ganks. I even remember a GoonWaffe gank squad landing on that alliance's looter/bumper...

It was quite fun to stop ganks with you and honestly I was surprised, my only guess was "nullsec politics reflected in highsec", apparently I was right. Smile

Be the change you want to see in Highsec.

I'm glad we are on the same page Foxxie, you were always the most reasonable person in CODE leadership, and I love your pic.

Now to act on what I said, instead of ganking haulers in Uedama you should shift your efforts to talking to miners and haulers, and getting them to understand different parts of the game. Run missions with them, incursions, do some lowsec pvp roams, help them manufacture stuff, etc.... If you want to save highsec, that is the way to do it, not just F1 destruction. Capice?

If you were around for the early days of the New Order, you would remember that "talking" has already been tried. It failed miserably due to the miners/carebears unwillingness to learn and even be bothered enough to respond. It was then decided that bumping and ganking were going to necessary to obtain and hold the seemingly short attention span of miners/carebears.

Long after ganking became the norm when dealing with carebears a proposal for PvP roams between New Order members and Carebears/AG/White-knights was introduced. Gorila and loyal merged efforts to try and create lowsec/nullsec roams for members of each group; and, fleets were created and went out. Unfortunately, most of the participants were members from the New Order, go figure, and it was scrubbed.

You should do some research before you post.

I have to agree with the talking aspect. I generally try to open lines of communication prior to any form of violence... you know the whole thing about flies, honey, and vinegar.

However, when the player is AFK, or unresponsive, it makes any form of contextual dialogue rather hard. And then sadly force will have to be used.
