Self-destruct option for outposts

Give outpost owners the option to destroy their own outposts in order to deny the enemy access to the outpost.
Anything inside will be destroyed. Players inside will be podded (or forced to undock).

To prevent attackers from destroying your assets too fast after conquering the station just use a timer.
The self-destruction process should take 168 hours, and be possible to cancel it within the first 2 hours.

Scenario 1: an invading force is about to conquer the outpost, self-destruction is started. 2 hours later the outpost is conquered but the self-destruction process is unavoidable. After 1 week, enough to take your own assets out, the outpost self-destructs and the attackers will need to build their own outpost if they want one.

Scenario 2: an invading force conquers the outpost and wants to destroy your assets. You have 1 week to get your assets out and the attackers cannot stop the self-destruction. This makes it very unattractive for an invading force to destroy an outpost because the chances of destroying assets is small, while the loss is huge.

EDIT: also make it a HUGE explosion, I like fireworks.
EDIT2: I also want to see explosions inside the outpost. Hangars being lit up and the camera shaking while the capsuleer is engulfed in fire and shrapnel.

Only if they add scatter mechanics for the loot in the outpost. In fact that should be a thing when outposts become destroyable. Just have the cans float long enough to allow them to leave the grid before expiring.

Because if this was possible, you can just get a spy into a corp and self-destruct all the pos’s with no logs.

Require director rights to do it. OR give ownership of the outpost to the holding corp. That way even director level spies cannot do it.

I read the OP as POS not outposts.
Dir’s are 100% trustworthy in any and all circumstances.

CCP have already said they are not going to have completely destructible outposts because of a number of reasons, one of which been someone goes on Holladay comes back and every single item they own is now gone forever. + PL would just yolo for 6 Months kill all the outposts then eve null sec is dead. No one would build one if someone can just come and kill it after a few weeks.

Think in one of the dev blogs or dev posts they said there might be a possibility of damaging them or something, so that’s a step in the right direction.

PL have dead zoned an Outpost... there a holding corp with one member. but some one could still try and get the station back. at some point.
It sounds cool killing off someones stuff but in reality it could just kill of null sec life.

After you conquer an outpost it's yours and you should be able to do whatever you want with your stuff.

If that is the concern, then increase the timer to 1 month. Also PL is just a bunch of idiots, they don't have that capability.
It's the same with titans, they can be destroyed but people are still building them.

I don't think you have the mantle capacity to grasp what your asking for (like your other topics you posted tbh) so i will just leave it at that.

Miner, i am well aware that this is totally off topic. But with your recent stream of horrible ideas i am obliged to ask...

Are you taking your meds? Since you have recently started posting on the forums and barring your thread in SISI feedback everything you have posted reads like the wacked out dream of someone with a substance abuse problem for hardcore hallucinogens...

That said, this idea is horrible and definitely not supported

If I were to do this I would want to be able to cancel it at any time, but it only takes 72 hours, and those hours pause if it's in RF. This means that if you were an attacking force, you could capture the station and cancel the self destruct.

It also solves the moronic spy problem because presumably there would be logs of who pressed the self destruct button, and who stopped it.

OP, if I'm unsubbed and someone blows the outpost I have all my crap in, what reason do I have to ever come back to the game?

Outpost should be able to be incapped: still dock or undock but nothing works and all assets are locked. Only when it is repaired stuff can be touched.

Upgrades on outposts should be visile to everyone, so people can fight over 75b value stations and their production capabilities.

If you put all your eggs in one basket like that what reason does CCP have for protecting your stupidity?

What reason do they have to permanently delete most of my assets with absolutely no possibility of me doing anything to prevent it whatsoever?

Or to actively discourage people from living in nullsec even further?

What can be created by players in eve should be destroyable

For lots of reasons including destroying assets as a tactic in allanice battles.. however their shouldn't be any drops or maybe small drops like 5%

As to leaving eve and comming back my I suggest not moving all your crap to one station and if your going to go away for a bit consider selling / moving it to npc space
