What's the flavor of the month rattlesnake fit?

Apparently during my absence passive tank sit and sleep ratting rattlers have fallen off in favor of active tank MJD ratting rattlers. What would be the optimal fit for this assuming a 500 million isk budget to spend on t2/faction/deadspace modules?

This is more than enough. No need for bling unless you really want to. Just remember active tanked bling is gank bait.

target painters and omni tracking links in the mids

5x cruise launchers kin or therm ammo.

dunno about rigs, I put rigors and a flare on mine

MJD is for cowards and/or gtfo button, more tank to brawl is better imo as you can use higher damage sentries, and you are less likely to waste volleys with your cruise launchers. plus you can fit all 5 cruise launchers and not waste another slot with a drone link augmentor.

You can fly passive or active still, the active is just used to maximize the range and application due to less slots used on tank.

With passive i would probably go for rhmls for ~50km engagement range to free rigs, with active and cruises even a 100km range is possible with a drone control range rig.

In general, dont read too much into the 1600 dps thing, gecko aside, that assumes battleships flying not very fast (fury cruises) within optimal of gardes.

ROFL. you beat me too it, I was going to post "light drones and torps" to see how many picked up on it.


To topic:

I favour cruise, gecko, MWD and buffer - stuff melts too fast to need a booster and it is a significantly less appealing target to try and gank.

Not to mention the huge shield buffer the Rattle can get gives it a decent passive recharge as well.

For the most part. For a few missions a mjd might actually be helpful, but for the most part it is only useful if you intend to afk mission or are just learning the mission for the first time. But for the purpose of mission completion times a mjd is not my goto module
