Cloaks

It is of my opinion that cloaks are misused. They should have a decay making ships probe-able after a length of time, or they should use fuel. Cloaked ships serve a purpose, but are being used to dictate large areas of space at the minute.

Of course, I am open to corrections, but I think cloaks should have to be managed more.

Activating a cloak should use 'nerf cloaking' forum threads as fuel.

They would of course run forever.

What about if we remove the all powerful local intel channel and replace it with a delayed channel.. so you know people don't have to afk cloak..ehh

That idea has almost as many threads as cloak-nerfing.

In all seriousness though. Nothing more frustrating than trapping a cloaky in a system, only for them to log off. No chance to hunt or scan them down. Yea you got the 30 seconds for the safe log off, but that more like 25 or 20 given the setup time and having to notice that they are even visible on D scan.

Cloak really doesnt have a counter, other than pilot error.

It counters itself. Cloak on --> no other modules work.
