Recently CCP Ytterbium posted this Dev Blog. It was of interest to me because i have recently been feeling that it was high time that i did a bit of dabbling with Invention to see what it's all about.
I noticed about two thirds of the way though the article that it states "Data Interfaces will be properly reimbursed when that happens". For the uninitiated like me what does that mean?

Does anyone foresee existing skills being removed from the game?
Does anyone foresee new skills being added to the game?

As of this change no new skills will be added and no skills are being removed but they are talking about changing some science skills to give different bonuses.

Data interfaces is a non consumed item that is needed to do invention, they are simply removing those because they dont add anything to the game.

That's a data interface. There's currently 12 types, 3 for each race. That's what they're talking about removing.

Data interfaces are kind of useless because once you have a full set you never need any more since they aren't consumed.

The only skill change I know of being talked about is making Advanced Industry more relevant, possibly by making it a requirement for other skills.
