Cosmos mission redux

Simple suggestion...make cosmos missions repeatable every 3 months in the same fashion of Epic Arcs. I think it's BS that if your mission item gets jacked you don't have the opportunity to learn from your mistake and be more careful next time, since there IS no next time with these things if you screw up.

Also, Michi needs some serious counseling or a straitjacket. Shocked

COSMO missions are fairly well neglected... eventually everything in Eve seems to get a dev pass so I would put my money on yes, they will get updated. But I wont put any money on when.

Yeah, Cosmos definitely needs to be updated.

I don't think being able to access Cosmos Agents every 3 months would be a good thing, too easy to farm the special missions that reward top loot items. I think maybe once a year would be OK though.

One thing I didn't like about Cosmos Agents is they automatically offer you the next mission part without being asked. I think that shouldn't happen. Now if the player forgets to ask the agent for the next mission, tough luck for the player.

The main thing I'd change is the decline option. Currently if you decline a cosmos mission, the game mechanic governing Cosmos missions will view it as a fail and locks you out of Agent access. That needs to be changed to allow players the ability to access the agent at a later date.

There's other aspects that could be changed as well but I believe the decline option is the most important issue that needs to be fixed. It's been bugged for quite a while now, ever since the 'Agents Made Easy' update was implemented years ago.

I'm ok with an arbitrary time limit being set so long as at SOME point someone who screwed up can get another shot at doing it. The 3 month thing I think is ok since it has worked in the past fairly well for the epic arc rewards themselves. A small price drop on a few of these things would be alright, especially in light of the coming changes to modules. I can see the focus on storyline modules being geared to fitting excellence will make them very high-ticket items; mining implants aside how things are set up with them could definitely use some attention.

EDIT: Jeebus how does one get 30k likes? Have you been around since the beta days or did you get your own feature page by the devs? O_o

DMC has put out the "Faction Standings Repair Plan" which has helped thousands of capsuleers, including this one. ;-)

im definatly in your camp here.
MY2P:

i would like to see the cosmos missions repeatable every 3 - 6 months.
to ballance this out i would:
ruduce standing gains 5-10% for compleation
randomise COSMOS BPC rewards
remove arbitery failure timers.

as far as the reagons go:
add COSMOS data/relic sites (spawning loot from current static cosmos sites with better chance of the rairer materials)
vastly improve the current static sites.
remove the static mission sites and move them over to the 'stardard' mission spawn mechanic
add some COSMOS escelation sites (combat)

make the rats in static sites spawn randomly (working on that assumption that the max number of rats in the pocket can not exceed XXX isk in bounties)
add COSMOS Faction spawns (who can drop COSMOS items) <-same spawn rate as faction rats in belts
