1. Bring friends. Plan Ahead. Scout. Use a different route. No more easy mode.

2-3. No, YOU are supposed to protect your carrier using your skills, experience, and friends if necessary.

4. CCP has yet to identify any changes to these, so I would assume they will do what they do now. Oddly enough these skills are classified under Navigation and not Armor or Shields or similar, and don't list "defense" or "protection" in their descriptions.

Yeah he does. Im glad these changes will require players to have carrier escort fleets when traveling. I think its stupid that carriers could travel solo with minimal risk. These changes are a long time coming, and cant get here any sooner.

While you you are asking for the impossible please ask the Devs to give Supers and Titans the ability to dock up to the out side of stations as well, because I'm so sure that ain't gonna happen either.

Seeing how they said a titan use to be too large to go through a gate and used the same reason as a station, I dont see why not

Not Wormholes. Make it spawn black holes so that when capitals are allowed in highsec (which is a silly idea), I can have some fun sucking up anyone who undocks from Jita.

I think the idea of caps jumping through star-gates is just lame, especially from a role-playing one. Sure, could be some good fights, but it is lame.

Yes, it probably does. Following further discussion after publishing this dev blog, we have come up with the following additional feature:

For players less than thirty days old, once per player corporation joined, or
For all players greater than thirty days old, once per year:

You may push a button in your corp interface (while a member of a player corp and docked) that:
• Moves your medical clone to a station designated by your corporation, and
• Then moves you to the (new) station containing your medical clone

Exact method of corporations designating target station still being ironed out, but it will involve at the very least being able to designate a default station for all corp members, and will likely be allowed for *any* station with a corp office, regardless of system sec status. won't this mean that everyone and their mother will have a capital ship in lowsec and 0.0 now? they are going to be the new norm there. This will -force- players who are in pvp to throw capital ships into lowsec in order to defend their fleets properly. I think the change would be nice, but having capitals unable to use jump gates gives a well needed balance for large ships. This will change the whole PVP dynamic within lowsec. Next thing we know we will be seeing carrier gate camps on the edge of Hek. Do you want this CCP?

As I had read before though, building stargates? Wow! that will be really useful in wormhole space. Throw a gate from your main system to a system with a static high sec hole, instant supply line. That will be nice.

Marauders are awesome right now. Marauders are also cheaper, and far more nimble than dreads. If people don't roam in fleets of marauders, they certainly won't roam in fleets of dreads.

Also, out of siege dreads do *maybe* a bit more damage than a faction battleship, and even then not by much. You'll see carrier roams - because they can actually apply their dps with the smaller drones and sentries, and without being stationary for 5 minutes at a time, but dreads? Nah.



Carrier fleets have a huge advantage on the magical get out of jail card that jump drive scan be in certain situations. Specially in low sec where they can jump trough a gate cyno out and no bubble to stop them.
