Say you have 3 dread characters, one with JDC V, two with JDC IV. What's the absolute minimum time it would take to get one dread 60 light years.

so 3 hours to move 1 dread a long distance using alts its a hell of a lot slower than it is now, thats for sure, but thats nowhere near as bad as i thought it would be

I don't know if this is the right place to say this but the changes that are coming are the worst thing in this game, should it happen Iif it does many many people will quit this game and allow certain events to happen, like a new form of bombing runs with titan bridges etc.

It needs to be much worse than it is. 3 hours is nothing in a week/month/multi-month long war.

that's not the point. you have to wait for timers all that time. it will add up to the frustration people have against ccp. Imagine you have to move all characters to do the jumping etc and then you'll additionaly get a server socket error. i see people ragequitting.
All that will be left is carebears doing lvl4 still in drakes and incursion runners thinking archon is a supercarrier etc.

Or you god damn nullbears will actually have to have fights to get your allies moved in close to you? Either that or all of NS will just blue each other up. I mean, it is almost to that point now so who really cares?

I can see the logistic side of corps/alliance getting angered, but this will just mean things stop being easy mode for NS. Don't worry though. CCP will realize you guys are a little mad and throw more isk into your systems or give you special SOV modules to decrease timers.

In all honesty I see this change as being good for NS, and Eve in general. Instead of just having wars all over the place for whatever reason things will turn more tactical. With the inability to move thousand man fleets across the entire map in an instant alliances will have to think very carefully about where they deploy. If they move out, and are stuck on timer with an invading force moving into their home system things will becoming very interesting indeed, especially with SOV mechanics being in CCP's sights right now.
Instead of FC's just yelling for fleets to hot drop here or there, they will actually have to take a broader look at the map and become "Generals" of sort. Or flight traffic controllers :-)
