Black Hole Generator

I think to enhance null sector excitement that a new ship that has the ability to create micro black holes should be discussed.

The ship would deploy the micro black hole generator that when any ship passes near it, within 10km, the ship becomes unable to use any type of engine where the ship then pulled into the micro black hole. Once inside the micro black hole, which would lead to any W-Space hole in space or even possibly to any system in null space the pilot would need to scan probe their back to a non W-Space exit or hope that the local system owners don't find them first.

A micro black hole would be able to handle up to a dreadnought in mass before collapsing, would last five hours and could only be generated once per day per system.

Maybe the micro black hole generator would open up new space that not even the Sleepers have found yet.

Yet another genius idea posted by Dryson!!!

/sarcasm

The many ways I would utterly abuse this are too many to even start listing.

What's your cumukative score now Dryson? -1e45769?

How do you imagine ships would accidentially move within reach of this generator?

That ringing in your ears you're experiencing right now is the last gasping breathe of a dying inner ear as it got thoroughly PULVERISED by the point roaring over your head at supersonic speeds. - Tippia

Obviously it would be invisible because not radiation can detect a black hole, so only the person dropping it (and 200-1000 of his closest fleet friends) would know where it is. Duh! Roll

Seriously though, terrible idea -1 for OP, and -1 for Dryson. Also, I understand that black holes can be detected in several ways, often the distortion of light around them, however I was being sarcastic.

Edit: I think that the black hole generator should lead directly into new, uninhabited space where players would be able to populate it even more than Null by building gates and stations of their own, this new player-Empire space would have player/npc-capsuleers living in it, thus creating Eve within Eve. Eveception. Lol This great, new universe would be players occupying the cavernous, barren space between Dryson's ears.
I kid... no hard feelings Dryson but I'm feeling pretty sarcastic tonight and you always post such good targets.

But it's a micro-blackhole, so it explodes in a burst of Hawking radiation. Sheesh. Didn't you pay attention in 1st grade astrophysics class?

I fear that the contents of Dryson's head have been eaten by a micro black hole, that said there wasn't a great deal to eat and they weren't of much use to him.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

What? at least now we all know how black holes do not work.

Eve Minions is recruiting.

Well that depends on its current rest mass, charge, surface area, and the amount of mass dropping into it.
I mean if it nomms the surrounding ships like a third of America nomms cupcakes, its going to rapidly expand and no longer be in danger of evaporating.
However since EVE is a European game, it is likely the portions will be small enough the black hole will evaporate.

Gay mining permits? So if I'm not happy to be stuck mining, then I need an angry mining permit?

Well that or they only allow you to mine mining permits
