As some of you will know, I am one of the leading experts in archaeotheology, specifically that of the Takmahl, a community of Faithful cruelly exiled from the Empire, shortly after the development of space travel.

So then, during several of my expeditions into the Takmahl ruins, I have recovered many interesting artefacts, including holy statues and ritual texts, as well as fascinating biotechnological devices.

These efforts are of course hampered by the occasional run-in with agents of the Theology Council, who seek to destroy all Takmahl artefacts, as they believe them to be heretical. I remember one incident, where I had found a fascinating statuette, and a Council agent confronted me. "Ah, Doctor Valate, hand over the artefact", he said, to which I replied "It belongs in a museum!", which it does of course. A museum where such things can be studied, for whatever theophilosophical insights may be gained.

And recently, I uncovered what would appear to be a Book of Scripture.

Which would appear to predate the Moral Reforms, and the so called "Mad Emperor".

So, let's have a look at what it says, hmmmmm? Obviously translation is a touch tricky.

"The Amarr people came into the world and the world came into being.
Our illustrious ancestors freed their souls from the evils of the old world and created a new one.
The great Amarr Empire was founded to cultivate the spirit of man.
To do so the enemies of the outside had to be defeated and the enemies of the inside controlled.
The Lord gave the Chosen the power to harness the Good and punish the Evil."

Oh look, no mention of the Emperor. Well, isn't that interesting ?

"The Wrath of God is Immense. His Justice is Swift and Decisive. His Tolerance is Limited.
Be Careful. Pure Thought is the Instigator of Sin.
Be Watchful. Free Thought is the Begetter of Disorder.
Be Respectful. Uniform Thought is the Way of Life.
The Mercy of the Chosen is Limitless. Their Rule is Benign and Righteous. Their Love is Perpetual."

Well, I see a pattern developing here.

Clearly, the Moral Reforms of the Emperor rewrote Scripture to change the purely secular position of the Emperor of the time, into a divine representative.

Which is something to think about, as it shows the Theology Council have twisted Scripture, for political reasons.

I shall continue to study these archaetheological texts, they are fascinating reading.

Being a theologian myself, I would be curious to see these. Copies should be safe in null or the Kingdom, once you have researched and translated them, especially in the hands of a Capsuleer.

Originals may also be helpful; I've been curious as to whatis left of the Old Languages.

"I say that even as the holy and the righteous cannot rise beyond the highest which is in each one of you - so the wicked and the weak cannot fall lower than the lowest which is in you also.  And as a single leaf turns not yellow but with the silent knowledge of the whole tree, so the wrong-doer cannot do wrong without the hidden will of you all."

I'm sure you'll find owners of private collections much better caregivers than any kind of 'government institutions'.

Ms Valate,

I have pointed out on numerous occasions in the past, and more recently, how the depraved Theology Council has poisoned our pure, eternal and holy faith. There is proof that this den of corruption even falsified the original scriptures of our most sweet and gift-bestowing prophet, Dano Gheinok.

Before I judge the manuscripts you present here, which smell of heresy themselves, since they do make mention of “the Chosen” although the passage is about God, I would be interested in reviewing a scan of the material.

I have dispatched a copy of the documents to both Ms. Shahni, and Duchess d'Hanguest.

I am quite sure they will find the documents interesting.

Ms Valate,

I have recently begun my own investigations into the Takmahl and the migration from the Home Worlds. I would be greatly interested in any copies you may spare, and maybe on some occasion a discussion with yourself about what you have found. I am interested specifically in histories of items they may have taken with them as holy objects.

I have been reviewing the publicly listed documents from Project Revelation & Project Theseus, as I understand you had some dealings with this anything that you consider appropriate I would greatfully receive.

I have been encountering issues with such discussions in the scriptures dating from the revisions of the moral reforms. Whilst I do not want to anger the Theology Council, as you have obviously seen how they approach such matters. Again if you have anything you could share I would greatly appreciate anything that could be shared.

With Respect

I cannot ignore the possible necessity of being aware of the forms of profanity one must deal with in the future. I would be willing to receive copies of what you have 'found,' as well.

The copies are currently in Amarr. Due to my absence from the capsule and bureaucratic problems—a vessel of the Ducal Palasian Squadron hasn't received the necessary codes and papers for passage through Empire space—I could not study them. As soon as the paperwork is done and the copies that you so generously provided arrive Zirsem I will report back.

Dr. Valate,

I have never done any investigation of Takmahl ruins but would be greatly intersted in seeing what you have uncovered. Maybe an outside (not being an Amarr citizian myself) perspective could shed some new light on them. Also, I'd like to cross-referance them with some Yan Jung artifacts and Sleeper libraries I've uncovered of the course of my career. Maybe together we can find some hints to what happened to them.

In the Name of the Light

Ms Valate

I have finally found an opportunity to study the documents that you so generously gave to me. Comparing them with the scriptures preserved in the archives of the monastery of St. Elata Ardo of Tetrimon in the Zirsem star system, provided me with the following conclusions:

1.) The Scriptures are genuin in that aspect that they are of Sani Sabik origin. The are forgeries for they contradict the original scriptures, preserved in the archives.

The Code of Demeanor talks about the nature of God and how He inspires and commands the faithful’s behaviour. The original, unaltered passages reads:

The Wrath of God is Immense. His Justice is Swift and Decisive. His Tolerance is Limited.
Be Careful. Pure Thought is the Instigator of Sin.
Be Watchful. Free Thought is the Begetter of Disorder.
Be Respectful. Uniform Thought is the Way of Life.
The Mercy of our God is Limitless. His Rule is Benign and Righteous. His Love is Perpetual.

The faithful’s behaviour is thus prescribed [“Be Careful!”], not described [“Is Righteous”], as logic and style clearly state. The idea that the Sabik version is the original text is preposterous (“The Mercy of the Chosen is Limitless. Their Rule is Benign and Righteous. Their Love is Perpetual.”). Contrary to reason is also the heresy of the “Theology Council,” namely that those qualities—that belong to God!—are part of an Emperor’s nature,

2.) The “Theology Council” and the Sanik Sabik utilised the same blasphemous methods. It does not surprise. Treacherous sects resort to any kind of actions, but we might even ask if the Sani Sabik infiltrated the “Theology Council” and aided the destruction of divine knowledge in order to weaken the Empire and confuse the mind of the faithful.

In the turmoil of the “Moral Reforms”, which allowed the current heresy to take form and place, the true believers resisted with much zeal and enthusiasm, but only the faithful around Martyr-Emperor Severian and the Order of St. Tetrimon preserved the original scriptures. Their sacrifice and martyrdom shall be honoured forever. We shall never forget those who have shed their blood to preserve the truth.

And God knows best.

Interesting work indeed Ma'dame Valate.

Being a collector after a fashion with an interest in such antiquities and a passing understanding of "The Faith", any items that require special consideration or care, I would be more than happy to... acquire.

That aside, the dogma described sounds a good bit like the practice of faith promulgated by most "mainstream" variants of "The Faith" within the Federation.

I would not only be interested in a copy of your research but in visiting the site itself if that were possible.

Ms Valate,

Thank you for sending the information through. I have been meditating over opening that information but in light of what has been revealed I do not believe these will do anything but bring darkness and not help with the goals I pursue in Gods name. As such I am destroying the texts.

Once again thank you for your assistance, despite the outcome.

Dr. Valate,

I have received a copy of the Takmahl text you sent me and will begin examining it with much earnest, However I appear to have misplaces some of the relics I've recovered from sleeper drones. Yet in a surprising turn, I found some Talocan relics I completely forgot I had! They must of been misplaces in one of the many moves I've recently had. I'll send you copies of my Talocan and Yan Jung findings so you can examine them as well.

May this be the first of many collaborative efforts between us,
