The condition the coffee industry is little of concern to me. As long as I have tea to steep I am content.

As for the development of the Cluster there is one matter that greatly concerns me as it should concern everyone, capsuleers and non-capsuleers alike. I am refering to Angel Cartel, Blood Raiders, Guristas, Sansha's Nation, Serpentis Corporation, and even the rogue drones! The Angel Cartel continues to flood the empires with illegal and harmful drugs developed by the Serpentis. Guristas have been attacking shipping lanes through out the cluster. Sansha's Nation to this day still launches incursions accross the cluster, capturing inhabitants to integrated into his "Perfect" society. While the Blood Raiders attack anyone they can (mainly focusing on capsuleers) to use in their perverse blood rituals. Even the rogue drones are contiually contructing new hives causing chaos for all those that tread to close.

The Cluster as a whole seems to be barely able to contain all theats presented by these destructive elements. Sansha's incursions have become more aggressive, burner have been destroying all but the strongest and are only growing more daring, we became aware of the ghost sites about a year ago, and all the pirates continue to produce equipment and ships that put any developed by capsuleers or the empires to shame.

I am concerned for all of these things and for much much more. We still don't know what else is out there. What new threats they are planning to unleash upon us, or who else is about imerge as a new threat.

The existence of Burners and the increased R&D efforts by the pirate factions are threats to the continued existence of the Empires and I hope that the Empires are diverting more attention towards them than each other.

I also believe that the Empires should also step up efforts to expand into previously unexplored space to gather materials to feed their own R&D. Considering that the Angel Cartel and Sansha both scavenge Jovian tech and the Guristas and Mordu's Legion likely also scavenge technology from now-extinct civilisations, it would be foolish if the Empires didn't do the same thing. Moreover, this would also provide opportunities for capsuleers. They can pay us to collect tech for them.

It also baffles me that Concord explicitly discourage capsuleers from plundering Ghost Sites. You would think that it's a better idea to pay us to plunder them and forward to Concord information about whatever the owners were up to, so as to be better informed when deciding how best to proceed with the arms race. Then again, Concord seems to think that users of 'immortal' tech are somehow enemies or threats that need to be contained instead of possible partners and accomplices that would help their efforts, so that shouldn't surprise me.

Just want to pull you up on an inaccuracy here; these products are not harmful.

To address the topic:

Personally, I would only ever pay heed to a Shaman or Khargai trained in the arts of astral divination when it comes to discussing what the future holds. Everything else is just gossip and amateur speculation.

Oh really? A slight overdose of the stuff that the Serps sold in our camp could kill a trimevaarwhatwasit... never mind... the intaki cow, and yet, people used it as a currency and cherished it. Why? Because those who *actually* injected that didn't care even for a briefest second if that was harmful or not. Rush was *now*. The rest was *after*.

That's how it really works.

I agree with you on all your points, the empires should be trying to recover these lost technologies before the pirate factions are able to. With that I know of a source of ancient and highly advanced empires are all willing to pay a high price for, sleeper libraries from wormholes. All sleeper drones drop immense reservoirs of information upon their destruction. I know that all the empires are willing to pay good prices for these databases and we should all strive to recover as many as possible in hopes it can turn the tides.

As for Ghost Sites, I also agree that is confusing that Concord would prohibit capsuleers from exploiting them. Could you imagine what the empires could do if they got their hands on covert research databases recovered from them? Yet, sadly this is not the case. All we can do sell it back to the pirates and bit our tongues.

We will instead face each other in a public and neutral coffeeshop and have a grind-and-brew out.

Well I agree that it's awfully silly to tell Capauleers "don't do this thing." I'm fairly sure CONCORD is capable of monitoring and archiving any and all important data we capsuleers come across. After all, they supply the clones and the capsules. It's not to far fetched that they would be able to run a copy of our memorys and knowledge for their own purposes. Maby they want to keep the data out of the hands of the empires themselves, so they have more of an edge...

Not interested. Getting plugged into a capsule and firing missiles and autocannon rounds at will feels much, much better anyway.

Also, the notion of Kim propositioning to me is both preposterous and terrifying. Please don't mention that again.

We will instead face each other in a public and neutral coffeeshop and have a grind-and-brew out.

I have a nice coffeeshop in my Archon, which is pretty much neutral.
All I left to do, is a reserve room, order my troops to do cook job, bring in all required cupboard and cutlery.
(I hope I will be able to sell it later, for money to be used for war effort instead of entertainment, of course).
The amount of public visiting will be, of course, very big. I could estimate we can do about a hundred of visitors at the same time, provided we will buy tables and chairs for that capacity. Hmm... actually, I think I need to calculate optimal amount of visitors at the same time, taking into account the time they require to spend in coffeeshop to drink their assigned cup of coffee and ear their ration bar, to minimize the time to rotate the whole crew through it.
But don't worry. The visitors will be there definitely, I bet not very many of them would lose this opportunity to have a cup of coffee instead of their usual drink.

It's your property and does not count. Take any station in Black Rise. One that actually has a coffeehouse.

I believe Ichoriya has rather developed market and station should have establishments like these. But I would rather not to make issues with local authorities, as, I believe, I gave them enough... troubles.

But you just want me to waste a lot of ISKs, isn't it?... It really should be better done in quarters, than in places like this. Do you imagine, how much will I have to pay to rent the whole establishment and to allow them to use my crew instead of their staff for some time?..

No. I am more interested in witnessing your bean roasting, bean grinding and brewing skills and see for myself if your cup of coffee is up to our unforgivingly high standards. And I am going to do so without risking being manhandled, shot at and having to visit three days in advance to set mines and shaped charges on every square inch of flat surfaces whether horizontal or vertical.

Choose an off-peak hour and prepare to negotiate with the coffeehouse owner for the use of the bar.
