New Corp 7 Day POS Setup Restriction

Looking to move into w-space made a new corp with a friend. Do I have to wait for 7 days before I can anchor a POS in w-space? Someone complained about it but others suggested it was a bug. Anyone know for certain? Thanks!

For a new corp, yes. I haven't tested since Oceanus was released though.

It is a "bug" in the sense that corp standing no longer matters anywhere.

If it affects you, file a bug report.

It's not a bug it's there to prevent people from just "POS Hopping" I guess would be the appropriate term. Standings requirement has gone away to anchor towers in empire space so it doesn't play a factor in POS towers. I have discussed this with others and based on the wording that is said in the developers blog this applies everywhere in which case you will need to wait 7 days before putting a tower up in Wormhole Space.

If you have further questions I would suggest filing a support ticket and asking the GM team.

It is relevant in w-space/low/null space as it applies to all levels of space not just Hi-Sec. Again this is based on the wording of the developers blog. You are correct this doesn't do anything against having multiple corporations ready to go when you end up on the receiving end of a war dec. In which case it doesn't apply since those corporations are already older then 7 days and you prepared for the eventuality of that happening.

Seriously, which seems more likely to you:

A. Dig into old, easily broken, poorly written and documented code.

B. Make an excuse to announce the behavior is intended (and maybe addresses it in a future overhaul).

Sorry, I'm a pessimist, which means I'm never disappointed.

the rule does apply yes, but the apparent reason for said rule is not relevant as you are free to shoot the structure at any time in non-highsec areas.

as already mentioned it was added to evade wardecs in highsec and make your pos assets 100% invulnerable via corp hopping. Standings are not even needed for anything anymore.

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value
