I want to make a SINCERE suggestion for Eve, so please read on;

I have played Eve for over 3 years and during that time have engaged mostly in Industry, I would've loved to get into pvp more but the harshness of Eve prevented me; ie;

If I lost a ship in pvp, it was regularly due to a blob of 50 of them to 1, then I'd have to spend a few hours mining for a new ship, then just mining for plex, cos why would I mine for a ship if Im just gonna lose it in 1.5 seconds??

Then I started to think why am I mining for plex: to get more game time, so I can mine more for more plex, and the vicious cycle continues...

Joined many corps, but you usually just hear curse words and in-fighting through comms all day long so whats the point.

Ive recently started playing Planet Side 2, when you die you respawn albeit usually in a place further away from where I engaged in pvp, I dont lose expensive items, I get back into it and am actually having FUN playing a video game EVERY time I log in,

I am actually throwing real money at the PS2 Devs for better items, cos the game is FUN, I have more fun in one session of PS2 then in 3 years in EVE! Although I aint leaving Eve, Im playing rarely now, and prolly wont renew my subscription in 3 months.

TLDR, If you lose valuable items in Eve in Pvp (including cheap ships, lose enough of them, and losing becomes expensive) people are just naturally not going to want to Pvp, and leave the game, Its whats happening , just look and the falling sub numbers on server graphs, make losing LESS PUNISHING in Eve is my SINCERE suggestion, Maybe respawn a ship 2-3 times before you actually lose it.

You claim to be sincere, yet this entire post reeks of troll bait.

You could of acted classy and not made this post. Instead, first thing in the morning while I'm eating my breakfast burrito I'm forced to lay eyes on this red diarrhea of a post.

The whole idea behind EvE originally was a "cold harsh universe" where losses actually meant something.
If the game ever removed penalties for losing ships then it wouldn't be EvE and there'd be mass unsubs.

If you're finding losing ships too costly, join a corp with a ship replacement program (flying some ships like logi with insurance it's sometimes possible to even make a small profit on each loss).

No.

Never.

This idea is barely worth spitting at, but I was actually expecting it to appear here pretty soon with the kind of players that we've been getting lately.

"If you lose valuable items in Eve in Pvp (including cheap ships, lose enough of them, and losing becomes expensive) people are just naturally not going to want to Pvp,"

Except that they do. What utter crap. People are pvp'ing and losing ships every day and getting straight back into it, every day.

"and leave the game, Its whats happening"

No it's not, carebears like you are spitting the dummy because they can't handle it. Some people leave quietly, understanding that EVE isn't for them, which is fine, EVE is good at filtering out the weak.

No one is respawning your ships for you, do you know how easy it would be to exploit this, and how many people would exploit this? Do you have any idea what it would do to the in game economy? Did you think this through at all beyond, "woe is me"?

You sicken me. Which is bad, because now I can't think of any funny jokes to troll your thread with. But I will, mark my words I will.

REALLY????? What other game gives you the fear and nervousness of losing something? (other than Dayz?) thats the whole point, when you have something that you dont want to lose in this game then you know its constantly at threat of being lost if you take it out of a station, THATS why i play this game, not your crazy idea of how this game should be run

I work at a small regional airport FBO. Everybody here has to take their turn cleaning the bathrooms at this small business.

This post reminds me of the time it was my day to clean and this coffee drinker blew his entire brown gift over the back of the toilet and wall. Luckily the walls are tile and I was able to get a hose in there to simply blast the chocolate smattering off the wall. The smell, however, was unforgivable.

I'm ready for this thread to be flushed, but the original poster is like that floating turd that swirls around and never gives up and just goes away.

LOL...

I remember way back about 35 years ago, I was in the Mens room of a Bay Store in Downtown Calgary. I went to the last stall to take a crap. When I opened the door, it looked like a **** storm had happened. There was fat, greasy turds all hanging out of the bowl. Someone had clearly taken out several pounds and threw it in a spraying pattern around the stall. Then, they took their fingers and rubbed it all over the place.

Of course, I left.

A few minutes later, this old farmer type comes into the crapper and walks to the same stall. I suddenly hear a loud "UGHHH" and he comes running out. Very funny...

We play this game for the thrill of "real" assets on the line. That's what makes it so beautifully brutal.
Seems to me you would enjoy incursions rather than pvp in eve.

Congratulations! You played only 3 years to, finally, realize that EVE is not for you.

But don't give up, the way the things are going, maybe, one day you will enjoy this game.

(sarcasm off)

OMG, threads like this really make me sick, anyways, all stuff I have are bits only, if EVE become borderline what these guys want and I finally leave to never come back I will not lose anything.

BTW, I don't want your stuff.

@Solecist Project, I don't think the OP have the resource to put some bait here, it's only, well... I wish him luck in the other game, I really hope he enjoy it and be very happy there.

3 years, serious?

Cognitive dissonance...

A cold harsh universe where losses... mean that you have to get a code from your FC to log the loss because otherwise it might be meaningful.

And that one of the reason I have PS2 instaled but don't play it for over a year. You see, in MANY games all players have so much handhelding, i mean: respect skills, you die on pvp but no loses, no times wasted, it's painless and without meaning because you risk nothing.

Yes, telling the truth hurts so many of the Eve flamers, you want to live with your head buried in the sand , up to you,

if you want to look for targets in Null/losec for hours on end, and when you do, get blown up by blob within

milliseconds, then spend millions more on new ship and spend hours to configure it, buy new modules, sometimes

travelling for many jumps to get what you want, get blobbed again, rinse and repeat, hey , your time wasted, not mine, whatever....
