Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that there is less than a week left for voting (it ends on December 18th) for the MMO Sanctuary Gamers' Choice Awards. EVE Online has been nominated for:


  • Best MMO Expansion - "Incarna"
  • Game of the Year

Incarna?

Christ someone needs to tell them about crucible, I would vote for that but not incarna.

maybe if you had said crucible and not incarna.... I love eve but I can't say incarna was their best expansion for 2011, put up crucible and I will vote for eve though.

It isnt the best EVE Expansion, but the best Expansion for all MMOs in the year. Actually, is it the ONLY mmo expansion this year? Cant say I've heard of another...

I don't like to put people down, but this is just...

It looks like this MMO Sanctuary site is new and the OP is from that site. It looks like you have done hardly no research on EvE and are just adding any MMO to your awards, that is what i think anyways.

Good luck with the site though and change it to crucible and do a little more research about EvE!

Incarna made me quit Eve for the better part of 2011, Crucible made me come back.

Yeah, suggesting EVE Online's "Incarna" expansion should be nominated is trolling. And yes, the awards were posted on the forums for the games that were nominated.

Is the site new? Been around for about 2 years, so you can call that what you like. Is is the BIGGEST site dealing with online gaming? No, but "there can be only one" when it comes to who gets to spend the big bucks to bring people in. We do what we do, and if you don't like it that's ok with us.

The fact is that Crucible came out AFTER the nominations were submitted by members and staff, so that is the one that was nominated. If you don't like that expansion, then don't vote for it. We let people speak their mind even if it's negative, unlike a lot of the other sites that will muzzle you the minute you speak ill of an advertiser. They'll also pad their previews and reviews for the big-dollar developers, but we won't. We also ask questions of developers that players want to know and not just a "review" of crap they've already spouted out before...

Anyway, enough about us. Like it or not, EVE is in 2 categories. Don't think it should win, don't vote for it. Don't care at all, don't click the link.

Just don't bother lobbing false accusations and insults at me for no reason. I'm not here to insult anyone, I'm just giving fans of a game the opportunity to give their vote. And yes, several sites give out their awards, and that's fine. We have our own as well, and we're targeting a slightly different audience than the "catch-all butt-kissing".com sites.

To be fair on the OP, the Incarna expansion should be used that was the biggest expansion... (No troll intended)
With Incarna CCP spent 6 years developing and plastered advertisements everywhere! the expansion was meant to be the daddy expansion.

On the other hand we have the Cruicible expansion that was developed within like 2 months.. CCP's Incarna should be used on all sites maybe then CCP will realize even more that it was a major f.u.c.k up.

Anyways OP good luck with the site just a couple of tips for your site.
1) Talk more about the nominated game include pictures and stuff! open your site up to search engines with it!!
2) Change your website banner to something else like fat gamer chicks?

Why would Eve-Incarna even be on the list? In all respects the expansion was a epic failure that cause a massive exodus of players, as well as massive layoffs and downturn for CCP. Maybe if the award was for "Biggest Fuckup of 2011".
