ok been trying to retrieve journal data for corp. i got normal character to work. but cant seem to pull corp journal.
i get the runtime error 364 when opening journal, then ewa crashes.
been using full api it seems before i had trouble getting this to work. btw i'm ceo of the corp with full access. and logs are showing its not pulling the api data from site. read some some post a while ago saying there was a trick to get it to work. although i cant seem to find the post anylonger. ^^ i was hoping u could clear it up a bit.

Ps want to thank you for this program. there are likely many very many people thankful that you have put your time and effort into this project. as a old horrible programmer i am i know exactly how much work this is =) thanks again

I keep getting the error 364 just like kara described here. The wallet journal is literally the reason why I downloaded this program. Cry

Sorry for the late reply.

The error 364 when trying to bring up the wallet journal window is caused by the fact that no wallet journal entries are present. This should ofc not happen, but that isn't the main problem you're both facing.

Is there any error entry in the log (Extras -> Application log)? If so, which one(s)?

Also, have you created an API key for a specific character or is the key in question generated with the "All chararcter" option? If the later, could you give it a try and create a key for a specific charatcer and see if the problem still manifests.

Hmm probably a weird permissions issue. Am not really happy about needing to run it in administrator mode, but I suppose it's in a VM anyway so no biggie.

Understandable, but that shouldn't be necessary, see the last post on the previous page.

EWA's database has been updated with the Crius changes. Use EWA's update check (menu ? -> Check for updates) to download and apply the database update.

EDIT #2: Found an older version off of SoftwareInformer that didn't crash while trying to run. Downloaded the latest EXE and that worked. Updated the database to Hyperion, that worked.

Now I can't load wallet journals for either personal or corporation wallets. I get a 364 error followed by a crash, and in the application error log I see this:

frmWalletTransactionHelper:WTGridSetup->381, EVEWalletAware, Invalid property array index

Ideas?

So, just to make sure: the version you're running now is 2.1.7. c/d? (menu ? -> About)

Those two seem unrelated. The error does occur in the Wallet Transactions form, not Wallet Journal

It seems I reintroduced a bug there. I'll upload a fixed version soom(tm). Should be available tomorrow, the latest.

Corp Wallet Journal is now working for me. Not sure why it wasn't before, but hooray!

Transactions still aren't loading though :-\

Check the cached XML files if EWA was able to download walletransaction XMLs

Also: make sure the charatcer you're pulling the API data with has both the necessary rights for the API key selected AND ingame (corp) rights to access the corp's wallet transactions (=Junior Accountant).

And last but not least: two different applications can't fetch the same API data.

I've just recognized an error which prevents wallet journal data to be properly stored, once retrieved. This is caused by an insufficient database column.

I've uploaded a new database version (version 51) to fix that issue.

Please update your EWA database as soon as possible (menu "?" -> "Check for update")

EWA's database has been updated to the Oceanus release.

As Oceanus includes quite some module name changes, I encourage you to update your EWA installation soon.

I'm having some issues inputting the API keys, after I put them in and save them, the Verification code reverts to '0' and no data can be pulled. This happens immediately on both Personal and Corporate API keys, clicking on the API key i just saved in the list clears the codes (but leaves everything else)

Hi Eric,

sorry for the late response.

Try the following steps:

- Create a new EWA account by clicking "New" and enter your API credentials.
- Make sure you mark it as "Default Account", even if you only plan to use one EWA account.
- Click "Save"
- Select the account from the list, verify that the values are still there.

- If that's the case, switch to the "Character(s)" tab and try fetching the characters associated with your API key.
- Set one character as the default character for this account (even if yur API keys is created for only one character).

I admit it's a bit awkward, but that stems back from the early API days, where the API keys weren't so granular like today.

Nope, still the same deal, even after following your steps and saving, the Verification code reverts to 0. Is there a possible permissions issue as to why it would not be writing the Verification code?

Have you checked the application log if there's an error recorded?

Permission might be an issue, but AFAIK, EWA even refuses to start without proper permissions. You might nonetheless try running it in "Compatibility Mode".

Technical background: when I started EWA back in 2007, I decided to store stuff in All Users. Which was OK for 2000/XP, but MS has posed stricter rules with Vista and newer. Meanwhile I would store EWA's data under the current user's profile. In fact, EWA already supports this with the command line switch /CurrentUser.

*BUT* you need to shuffle the data around yourself. I've got yet to figure out a reliable way for EWA to do it by itself, so that the layman can use it.

You'll find the current data location by clicking "?" -> "Show locations". If you move the whole EVEWalletAware folder to the same location in your user profile (that is i.e. C:\Users\Your Username\AppData\Roaming\) and start EWA with that switch, it happily uses that location.

There's only 2 entries in the application log: '0 log entries deleted (autopurge)'

Compatability mode made no difference.

Its being started up in administrator mode

Location shows that its pointing towards a C:/Programdata (a hidden directory)

Still not holding any Verification codes or pulling characters :(

Yepp, that's the directory formerly (Windows XP and downards) was known as "All Users".

What?

You know what irritates me to no end? That you wrote "Verification code reverts to '0'" (I take that is a zero). There's no line of code in EWA that ever fills vCode with zero, because it's not supposed to be a number, but can be any character. If it would revert to be empty, I'd grasp that. But this one ... Sad

Out of curiosity, which program and database version are you using? Click "?" -> "About ..." to find out. If those don't equal to the versions noted in the first post of this thread, try to update both EWA and the database.
