IFTTT integration would be a great benefit for many players. It looks as though all that has to be done on CCP's part is to submit a request to IFTTT at https://ifttt.com/platform.

How would that service be useful for Eve players? A lot of people may not even know what IFTTT is.

Ah, yes, I should have given some examples. IFTTT connects multiple online services across the internet. The ones that use IFTTT could connect EvE to other services for notification purposes, etc.

Some possible examples:
Prices for particular items on the market can automatically be posted to a Google spreadsheet.
Anytime a POS is attacked you can get an email.
In game notes can be posted to Evernote automatically
In game calendar events can be synced with iOS reminders or Android notifications.
A Facebook post can be generated any time you kill another ship.
Phillips Hue lights can change color or flash if your corp gets a war deck.
A tweet can be sent out whenever you are under attack
and many, many more...

Seems like it. Or cba to play with advanced API coding. Seem to recall pos attack info in API, RF notification is I am pretty sure.
And set up your silo's a certain way you can know within an hour if being siphoned. Unless fixed...since last I heard of it.

No point which would tell me that the invested time is worth it.
