currently c5 wormhole living, and I'm in need of making some solo iskies, and since supposedly the Proteus cannot run sleepers for shite (blaster limited projection, cruddy tank, will probably get facerolled by gankers if flying solo). of course in a wormhole I usually have access to null one way or another. so this is a null exploration fit, I'll post it but I have four main questions
1. Do I need to be cap stable?
2. How much DPS do I need to make explo sites not incredibly painful to clear
3. How much ISK potential is there in nullsec explo?
4. Is there a huge advantage to keeping a salvager fit on your explo fit?
Am I better off just sending my alt back to HS to grind missions?(please god no)

Alright here's a few things, exploration sites (relic/data) do not have any rats to kill anymore, you just need to hack the cans, so if your goal is to do exploration sites in null you'll be far better off using a Cov Ops frig.

Second, trying to do any sort of nullsec anomaly/DED/unrated site in this Proteus will be terrible, even if you could tank it your dps and range is pathetic and it will take you forever to complete the sites. The only PvE you could do in that Proteus is maybe killing valuable belt rats which isn't going to amount to much income.

So basically what I'd suggest you do is to use a Cov Ops frig if you're interested in doing relic/data sites and focus on doing just those. Alternatively if you're more interested in doing combat sites it's a little more difficult as null sec combat sites that you scan down can be quite hard and depending on the site and what space you're in, it might not be soloable in a Proteus, you'll need something more specialized. Honestly doing L4s in highsec space is probably a far more reliable source of income but if you want something more engaging you could try what I suggested.
